Legend. This man is amazing, and most of his best jokes go straight over the audiences head, which makes me laugh even harder. What do you think about him?

I always find him funny, and the fact that his ego is the size of the sun certainly helps. His portrait comes to mind:

The fact that he's a Sunday school teacher makes me chuckle.

I find myself watching Colbert more than Daily show, but they're slightly different. The Daily Show has evolved into making sense of the world and what constitutes as being right (from a liberal perspective) and what should be done about it, using humor to make it enjoyable. Colbert on the other hand has embodied his own conservative pundit persona and what he says is just mocking conservative values and it's because he's so over-the-top is why he's a funnier personality. I still view Jon Stewart as one of the smartest and most witty people in the media.

Colbert as a person is hilarious but Stewart's show is much, much funnier.

This. One of the best things ever. Seriously.

I haven't seen a single Colbert Report that hasn't made me laugh; the satire goes way over some people's heads. Love it.

The man is a genius. Tons of his stuff definitely goes way over some people's heads, but it's hilarious. It took me a little while to get used to him but once I did I loved it.

For the record, this episode where he poured sugar on himself and everything in that episode = one of the best episodes ever

the comedy central newshour is golden.

each half has it's strengths. stewart is better at getting to the heart of an issue and colbert is the best at getting everyone to realize just how insanely ludicrous much of this countries politcal discussion really is.

My only complaint about the Colbert Report is all the damn people who like to brag about how 'all teh jokes go over dum persons heads lulz'.

It's not bragging, it's completely true.

My parents try to watch this with me sometimes, they are conservative, and they have no idea he's bashing conservative pundits. Same thing with a buddy of mine; I have to tell him 'he's pretty much making fun of what you believe'. It definitely goes over people's heads.

i could not believe Stephen actually got the Birther queen on the show. She obviously did not know she was being mocked.

This is one of my favorite moments of the show ever. (http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/185692/september-25-2008/-nights-in-rodanthe--premiere) Kinda of reminds me of that.

You think people are morons because they are conservative, and dont like John Stewart. You sir are a nincompoop.

No, because his parents can't see that Colbert is satirical. Thus they are morons. You have just showed me you are one as well.

For someone who isn't watching every episode, they won't what is about. Try watching most tv in the middle of a season. You don't know anything till you watch a bit more.

Let's get back to the part where Colbert is hilarious, and it's a fun show to watch. There, that wasn't too difficult.

but i think they see it as like the opposite of the daily show or something. they've only seen a few episodes though so maybe after they see a few more they'll get the picture.
No, because his parents can't see that Colbert is satirical. Thus they are morons. You have just showed me you are one as well.
yeah my parents also watch glenn beck so its safe to say they are somewhat stupid when it comes to their tv show choices.

That is one of the best segments. Some of the side effects he comes up with are hilarious.
