I think my feelings on this topic are pretty obvious. A great discussion on this was made in the general forum, someone should dig it up.

Actually, I don't completely understand why they are compared as much as they are in the first place. For the majority of their material, they're not all that similar.

I think because people got into them at similar times, but I don't really understand that either.

I choose sufjan, he has proved himself as one of the best artists around. And will continue to prove that when he releases he Illinois B-Sides album that will rival most other releases this year.

From what I've heard, Sam Beam's B-Sides > Sufjan's B-Sides but I could very well be proven wrong with the release of The Avalanche.

i really dont like iron and wine. especially after the cover of the postal service. ( i dont think they'd be that known without it)
and i guess sufjan means something to me. the moments i share listening to him.

People seriously need to forget that one song. I mean, it's a cover and probably one of the worst songs in his repertoire.

while both splended,
i find more of a connection with Iron And Wine's songs.

i'm voting iron and wine simply because i consider 'the trapeze swinger' to be one of the best songs i've ever heard.
