That's probably what I'd put it as. The Curious George Soundtrack has like 2 serious songs, and the rest are kind of kiddy.

the curious george soundtrack is quite awesome haha, love it. for me its pretty much opposite of what you have haha...
In Between Dreams>On & On>>Brushfire Fairytales> Curious George
all are great though.....i think "Better Together" is the best song he has written.

Nothing touches Bubble Toes for me. That's easily my favorite song. Banana Pancakes would probably be closest, though.

Hahahah
Bubble Toes is definately number 2, and Banana Pancakes is 3.
That was weird.

Maybe that's because he's a one-trick pony who sucks. (opinion)

Most acoustic musicians are. And I don't think he sucks at all.
3 flawless albums? Jack Johnson > Jack Bauer
Curious George was pretty cool aswell, 'Upside Down' is pure fun.

"A Weekend at The Greek" is maybe the best live dvd Ive ever seen.
Also, if you like JJ, check out Matt Costa. "Sunshine" is a great song.

On the Weekend at the Greek dvd, Matt and JJ do a duet to "Sunshine", and its so fucking nice.
Also, at the beginning of the dvd, Jack does this In Between Dreams medely, where he mixes all the songs together, into one song. Its really cool.
And by the way
You know that hope will make you strange
Make you blink, make you blank, make you sink
It will make you afraid of change
And often blame
The box with the view of the world
And the walls that fill the frame
I turn it up but then I turn it off
Because I can't stand when they start to talk
About the hurting and killing
Whose shoes are we filling
The damage and ruin
Man, the things that we're doing
We gotta stop, we gotta turn it all off
We gotta rewind and start it up again

thats my only beef w/ him....that one strumming pattern he uses for almost everything....check out matt costa on his label....
no, thank you, but i hate him.
not because my dad listens to him.
i just feel like he loves dave matthews a whole lot, and sublime,
and thats all i hear in his music.
besides a complete lack of energy or feeling.
i hate dave matthews too by the way.

saddest thing i've heard in a long time.
you must have a pretty easy life.
damien rice is just so predictable and derivative. there are some good songs on the record but please, its really not that good....id give it a 4.3/10 at best. now a 4.3/10 on this website means that OMG WORST RECORD OF ALL TIME.....but id say a 4.3 is just really not that great. its ok for a couple listens, but he pulls the same tricks every song. Jack Johnson isnt that original either but at least he puts me in a good mood, and Ill take Jack Johnson for what he is. If I want to listen to quiet sappy acoustic Ill listen to Elliott Smith. Damien Rice can take a rain check.

Hahaha, if you think Damien Rice is derivative then you have no business listening to indie music. O is full of diversity, amazing guest vocals, strings, and hymn-like songs. Damien > JJ in every way, shape, or form.

hahaha yea i have no businees listening to indie music because i dont like damien rice. i almost forgot im not allowed to have an opinion here. i state my opinion not cutting anyone down and then here comes someone cutting ME down first and then defending your musician. he pulls the same stuff throughout the cd. quiet, soft, strings sappy acoustic. its boring. next please.

i love JJ a whole lot and i think that if people listened to his albums all the way through they would realize its not the same song over and over. i can understand completely why people dont enjoy it but to me his songs arent all the same like people say.

was the soundtrack for that surfing video entirely new songs by jj? or old songs or something else?
Right now, I actually enjoy JJ more than I enjoy Damien Rice. Simply because Ive grown tired of Damo's material, since Ive been listening to the same album for over a year, and Im nowhere near tired of JJ, since Ive got tons more material to choose from. I know they're in different corners as far as acoustic goes, but those two have always been equal favourites in my mind.
