Everybody offers perfection
and all I seem to get is constant rejection
reminders of mistakes
times of heart break
and feeling lower then low
downward spirals
constant denial
that only I know ..
you don't seem surprised
that we're ending
maybe you realized
you were pretending,
pretending I was her
now that breaking up 'hurts'
and I was all you ever wanted.
I can't even tell you how I feel
'cos you won't listen to me
what does it matter 'cos this was never real
