Favorite? or other favorite restaurants?

I'm aware that there are much better restaurants that are not national chains, but I thought that would be too narrow of a poll. Feel free to post favorite local restaurants as well. For me it would be Chez Panisse in Berkeley.

I thought it might be interesting to hear some people's favorites, could generate a good list for traveling.

I'm doubting whether we have those here. My favorite restaurant would have to be Lloyds.

Cheesecake Factory has horrible food (but delicious cheesecakes) and Wisconsin sucks so bad we don't have any of the other restaurants listed.

Its possible they are more prominent in CA, I was surprised most people hadn't heard of any of these.

I KNOW there are cheesecake locations all around (yes, I read the locations listed on the bag).
It's just so popular round these parts...then again I'm sure many are clueless as to the greatness of In-N-Out as well.

Yeah thats true, I tried to pick 4 restaurants that are national chains, but maybe they aren't so prominent in all states. California being as large as/larger than most countries might have something to do with it.

Is BJ's even considered a restaurant? I may be thinking of the wrong place, but I'm pretty sure that is a store similar to Wal-Mart.

Cheap: Jimmy John's
Pretty Cheap: B-Dubs
A Bit More: Applebee's
A Lot More: Paesano's in Oxford. Or probably most hole-in-the-wall Italian places.
