I think the better part is subjective. I also don't know if it's completely fair to boil it down to "michael sang and danced." He broke barriers (culturally and racially), and has served as the inspiration for millions of artists to come since him. I don't really like this poll because it's a double barrel question - who's bigger and who's better are different. It's hard to say either way, but I chose Michael because I thought he made better music. It was a tough call, and much respect to both choices though.

Michael wrote a majority of his own songs, which in some cases were a lot more musically challenging than Beatles songs. Yeah, he didn't play the instruments he wrote said parts for, but he still knew what he was doing.

Alright I'll admit that what I said about them was a bit rash and I didn't really look into before saying it and I apologize for it. That being said I still think The Beatles are bigger and better, all polls are opinion based and that's just my opinion on the subject.

I wasn't aware such a phenomenon was possible considering it's just an opinion and the very definition of an opinion is (according to Webster) is a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter. So you really can't tell anyone their opinion is wrong because really it's just how they perceive things. Both were the kings of pop during their time, and went on to influence hordes of other pop musicians/artists. It's perfectly logical to compare them.
