Honestly, if I get this mod job, I plan to do everything I can to try to make this the best out of all these music-related forums. It won't be the one with the most posts, because there'll be news page/main page kids who will fill up the pop forum with talk of Cartel and what not, but with the group of hip-hop fans we have on this board, there's no reason this forum shouldn't be dope.

While talking about the Fugees;


Fugees member Pras Michel has been living as a homeless person on the streets of Los Angeles for the past nine days.

Pras told Thursday's New York Daily News he wanted to see what it was like to try and survive on $1 a day.

"The dollar a day didn't get me much at all," Pras told the newspaper via phone from Los Angeles' notorious Skid Row.

"You have to hustle, steal, shoplift or prostitute yourself," he said. "I chose panhandling. People gave me the worst looks. Like I was invisible and at the same time the worst person on Earth."

His experiences are being chronicled for a documentary, "First Night," which he said he hopes to have ready by September for the Toronto Film Festival.

"I slept in the rain. My tent was stolen. I experienced how these people live," he said. "People aren't going to understand what it was like until they see it. Human beings should not be sleeping among rats."
