I love SoCo, but I found Everything in Transit to hit me more..plus, I only really caught SoCo a little before North came out, so I wasn't as into them as a lot of other people prior to JM

I dunno, it's very close, and if I had found SoCo earlier on, I'd probably be in the same spot you are.
for me it is not close at all
LTTW and North are 2 albums i can listen all the way through and know all the words.
EIT.... i listen to the first few... then i get bored after that and skip to the last track.

Leaving Through The Window > Everything In Transit > North.
I voted SoCo because LTTW is probably a Top 10 cd for me.

this is a tough one for me, only because the amount of material released. anything andrew makes is a gem. but musically i enjoy jacks more

its close i chose JM but SoCo is awesome aswell, something about Everything in Transit made me choose it over anything SoCo's done
North is terribly underrated and is 10 times better than Everything In Transit

I agree...actually, it's more my favorite album from SoCo if I had to chose one...thought LTTW is basically at that same level in my mind.
I can't listen to North all the way through, but the tracks I do listen to are outstanding

as for now, between SoCo and JM, nothing can beat Leaving Through The Window...so unless JM will beat that in years to come, SoCo wins it hands down. And I truely love them both.

i was still trying to figure out how jacks could ever be chosen over soco, and no matter what i think about that could possibly be the reasoning, i cant see it. i dont mean that to put everyone who has said jacks over soco down...but i just dont understand how that can be.

Something Corporate was the first "big" concert I ever saw. There were a few hundred people there and he lit his piano on fire in the end. Good memories..

basically, what I see this debate as is, when did you come into the "scene".
I came in late, Deja Entendu was one of my first releases I truly noticed, so Soco, within that time frame, hasn't been as big for me.
For someone who has known SoCo since before me, no doubt they would be more meaningful, but I basically have the debate of North v Everything in Transit, and no doubt to me that EIT is better
I love both so much but JM really has just hit me in a way SoCo couldn't....the lyrics, the music, everything just really has inspired me/gave me more goosebumps than SoCo
While EIT isn't a concept album, it does follow 2 years of his life, all the ups and downs (which came from SoCo oddly enough), and eventually losing his girlfriend. I think because of all of that, he was able to write about one specifice topic, and that's why it feels more personal. Not that Konstantine doesn't feel incredibly personal lyrically, but you can feel the difference in his voice in songs like Dark Blue.

JM was more of a Summer fix. SoCo has been with me for a while and remains a constant factor. However I don't think there's a single horrible song in EIT while SoCo has put out songs like If You C Jordan, I Kissed a Drunk Girl, and Punk Rock Princess. However, what I'm truly anticipating is the next SoCo album after Andrew's experience writing JM and how it's influenced him.
