Fan reports in: Anberlin (http://www.anberlin.com) announced at their show last night that they would begin recording their new album in July. The band also played a new song titled "The Lesser Thans" which the band explained is about helping people in Africa.

Anberlin is amazing. I wonder where they will venture after this CD. Will the try to stay with T&N or go after a major?

Edit: I just realized there was a thread about this going on this morning.

I would imagine after the next album they'll be going to a major label.

This is kind of old news. They said this at the Portland show 2 weeks ago with Emery. It was something about digging wells in Africa if I remember right. My friends has a live video of the lesserthans song from that Portland show March 30th. Definitely a good song, although Stephen seemed very flat vocally because of his cold.

Anberlin is such a great band. They need to release new music *all* the time, because I can't get enough of these guys.

They were playing a new song on the Hawthorne Heights (*shudder*) tour. I bet it was this song. It sounded great.

awesome awesome. africa is most definitely the most forgotten continent in terms of aid and such. there have been more people killed in kenya alone due to genocide than russia or germany ever committed. such a wake up call. anberlin is a great band.

Saw them last night. They were phenomenal. They played the song, but unfortunately the vocals weren't coming through well on that song. :[

i'm excited for this.

anberlin isn't ground-breaking by any means, but i've thoroughly enjoyed both of their last 2 releases.
