I was surprised to find that there wasn't already a Friendly Fires thread made!!! If you guys haven't heard of them yet, you're missin out. If you have heard of them, what's your favorite song? Have you seen them live? Has anyone met them? Etc. Anything related to this amazing band should be discussed here :-d

I was first introduced to them by the song Jump In the Pool, but more recently I've been addicted to Lovesick.
They're nothing fantastic, but they have a cool sound that they have a lot of potential with.
Really like the band, very good album and geniunely one of the best bands I have ever seen live, easily the most fun. Their songs translate so well live. Did actually say hello to them after I saw them, it was at a festival and they wandered past me.
Favourite songs are ''Paris'', ''Skeleton Boy'' and ''White Diamonds'' but the album is strong throughout. The chorus to ''Paris'' live is spine-tingling. ''Kiss of Life'' is good, looking forward to where they go from here.

i had my tv on and heard some music that caught my attention. it was Friendly Fires performing on Carson Daly. i liked it a lot so i downloaded their cd that night and listened to it in the morning at work, and i love it. great album, great band. kinda reminds me of Young Love meets Shy Child.

Seen them live twice and I would watch them again as they're great live, however for some reason I don't really like the recordings of their stuff, that is apart from 'Jump In The Pool', 'Kiss of Life' is pretty good as well.

I saw a music video by them right before I went to lollapalooza so I decided to check them out and I really enjoyed their set despite it being hot and early.

I know this is a very old post, but I was so surprised to see another Young Love fan that I had to comment. I wish that Young Love would record higher sound quality versions of his first album. I wasn't too crazy about his second.
On the topic of this thread, I was enjoying this album on the way to work today and felt compelled to find others who enjoyed it too. Can't get enough of "Paris".

Wish they'd make a live record with the sound they had at abbey road sessions. So good.

Does anyone know how the band plays their samples live? I noticed that during their live performances theres loads of backing synth going on none of the band are physically playing the synth parts... are they triggered before they start the songs?
