One of my friends (girl) isnt into rock music much, she mostly likes rap. But her friends all got into pop-punk stuff, and they wear the black make up and have anarchy written all over them, and they wear hot topic and stuff.
She got invited to a LTJ, mxpx, new found glory, and good charlotte concert. The only one of these she had heard of was good charlotte. She decided to go.
So gets a "punk rock make-over", buys literally 70 bucks worth of clothes (hot topic bondage pants, anarchy shirt, Chuck taylors) to go to this thing. When she gets back she brags to everyone about how punk rock she is, and how rocking the concert was, and how she loves punk so much, especially good charlotte.
Im sorta pissed of at her, but i havent said anything. Do i have a right to be mad at all?

Why dont you help her out, show her some good music or take her to some good shows?
What you wear has nothing to do with what music you like, maybe she has never seen these types of clothes before and likes them, but that doesn't make her a poser.

I get tired of everyone saying people who are new to punk music are posers. Everyone had to be introduced to this music some time in there life, no one was born with the gift of good taste in music. So dont give her to much crap just try to help lead her in the right direction.

No, i've never met webster, i just speak the truth.
in the long run do whatever you want, but short term here's what you do (she's hot so this works twice as good) rip off her anarchy shirt, burn it, and tell her to buy a thrift store shirt and draw an anarchy sign on it if she wants to wear an anarchy shirt.

mxpx too loud?? it does seem like shes into it cuz its "cool", i mean when i first heard gc, it was too slow. and mxpx really isn't too loud.
