View Full Version : Six Feet Under, Vol. 2: Everything Ends
I watched the last episode last night and i'm curious to know those who have seen it all, what do you think of the ending? Did you like how it was done?
I thought it was pretty well executed, as was the entire series. What a great show all around, it had a little bit of everything thats for sure.
I'm also curious to know, how would you rank the seasons?
On a side note the title of this thread is the name of the second soundtrack that was made. The tracklisting looks pretty good, I think I will try and get it.

best television show of all time (imo). seasons rating: 1:10 2:10 3:10 4:10 5:10
the second soundtrack is great. (as was the first). i'm an alan ball fanatic soooo pretty much anything he's involved with i'm all about.
Cool. I just noticed that I said rate but I meant rank (i've edited it) from best to worse.....but that's so hard to do with this show. I don't even know. It's too hard to pick. I agree with your ratings of each season fully deserving. I'm impressed at how the show's creator was able to maintain such a high level of quality throughout the entire serie. At moments some parts in Season 5 were a little over the top dramafest in a few scenes but it was still incredibly good. Just meant that I couldn't really watch more than one episode at a time. It was just too much to take in all at once.
I feel empty now that it's over hopefully that soundtrack will be able to change that and i'll have my fix.

I hope this explains why I'm having trouble getting through 3. It feels like a complete different show than seasons 1/2.

season 3 brought us the best line of the entire series: i'm gonna fuck you on this rock.
5>3>4>1>2. Season 3 is different from the first two seasons but I still loved it. The last couple episodes, and especially the last episode of the season, are awesome. I feel like if they would've kept on the same character arcs as the first two seasons it would've started to repeat itself, and having the long character arc of Lisa really brought a different dynamic.
The ending scene to the s4e01 is one of the best scenes ever. However the final episode of the entire series is arguably the best executed hour of television ever, and the final 10 minutes was perfect. And I only use that word in TV/film to describe just that scene. Perfect. Amazing show all around with the best cast performance I've seen. Six Feet Under and Dexter are why Michael C. Hall is my favorite actor.

I think this was the absolute(punk) best series finale to any show I've ever watched. (note I said that I've watched). I thought it was completely brilliant and totally wrapped up the show. I've never had a more satisfying feeling that the show is "over" after that.

Best show ever. I got so attached to all the characters... tthe cast is great... Michael C. Hall is AMAZING. It's just a great, great show.
Season 3 does start off a bit slow but it really picks up halfway throught and stays in fine form until the very end of the serie. Each season are memorable in their own special way IMO.
What is everybody's favorite quote/one liner from the show. Someone above mentionned: i'm gonna fuck you on this rock haha I had forgotten about that one.
I really like when Brenda said: The future is just a fucking concept that we use to avoid living today.
Also my title which is taken from a convo between Nathaniel Sr and David:
Nathaniel Fisher (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0420955/): You hang on to your pain like it means something, like it's worth something. Well let me tell you, it's not worth shit. Let it go. Infinite possibilities and all he can do is whine.
David Fisher (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0355910/): Well, what am I supposed to do?
Nathaniel Fisher (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0420955/): What do you think? You can do anything, you lucky bastard, you're alive. What's a little pain compared to that?
David Fisher (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0355910/): It can't be so simple.
Nathaniel Fisher (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0420955/): What if it is?
I'm gonna miss this show so much. It sucks that all good things must come to an end. I'll get over it but for some reason i've just had this nostalgic feeling today thinking about it.
