Epitaph (http://www.epitaph.com) will be ending their run of Punk-O-Rama compilations. Their samplers will from now on be known as Unsound and the first one will be in stures June 6th.

Thats cool, I guess they want to incorporate all the acts on it.

I hope it is still cheap.

I think we should all have a moment of silence...we all bought at least one of these. My childhood just died a little inside

I guess because they really aren't an exclusively punk label anymore.

I have like the last 4 I think but I mainly only got them because they were so cheap. They rarely have an unreleased tracks but for 5 bucks you cant really go wrong even if you only listened to it for a week or so.

"I think we should all have a moment of silence...we all bought at least one of these. My childhood just died a little inside"

definately true, i remember searching for the first one everywhere in England. End of an Era, Epitaph is changing, and changing for the worse in my opinion.

I bought 9 and 10...Epitaph has a lot of bands I like a lot. Motion City Soundtrack, Matchbook Romance, Fromt First to Last, Bad Religion and Pulley, and I enjoy Death by Stereo, Horrorpops, Atmosphere, The Weakerthans, Scatter the Ashes, Sage Francis (listening to him right now), The Special Goodness and the International Noise Conspiracy. So yeah, Epitaph is fine by me.

whaaaaaat?
how could they do that. Woooow they changed the name of the comp. what was wrong with the title "punk-o-rama". Its like a tradition for the epitaph label. The comps now called "Unsound"... What does that even mean?
Punk aint dead, the music has evolved over the years into various sounds and "images". But beyond any general sub genre you put different bands in, most of witch featured on this website, are Punk Rock. It almost seems like the term "Punk Rock" is starting to scare people. This is, as predicted" "The Shape Of Punk To Come"
cmon Epitaph, why change for the sake of "titles and genres"
your a PUNK label, always have, and better damn always will.
