Fuck off. If you don't like something, ignore it. I understand that for some folks, fucking off is beyond their mental capacity. Please try harder. If you're such a ****** music snob that you have to come into threads and bitch about artists you don't like, change your signature accordingly. As for the new song, I don't like it. But it seems like it will be a one off, soft/mainstream style track, as Cut Down All The Trees and FCPREMIX were. They're probably trying to circulate it so the mainstream will hear it and go out and buy the album once it drops. Hopefully they went the direction of Phantom with the rest of the album but I'm sure I'll be satisfied, whatever route they've taken.

Poison the Well is garbage, and I haven't heard anything from Alexisonfire since I was like 16... As for Sodom I don't even know who they are, but I am a fan of sodomy as I earlier stated. However I was a fan of TFOT...then I turned 15.

I don't know how you can make that statement. It's clearly their worst shit. There are some good songs on that disc like Circus and Mastodon, but most of those songs went on to become doppelganger anyway, with better guitars and vocals.

I agree - FCPREMIX was shitty, but I'm not the type to say it ruined the original. In music and film, the original will always be there, so if you don't like a sequel, remix or reimagining you can just ignore it. It's great, you should try it.

As for Doppelganger being shit compared to the self titled, I don't know about that. IMO, any song on Doppelganger wouldn't be out of place in the self titled, and vice versa. The biggest difference between the two were the production values, which are getting better every record, to the point where at least this one song off the new album is feeling a bit overproduced. Not to mention it sounds like pop rock, and is shitty in general. The other songs will be better, everyone has already heard Battleship Graveyard, Straightjacket Keelhaul and Vomiting Winter and they are drastically different from Panic Attack. Like I said before, I think they wanted a song they could make a commercial out of and get a bunch of people to buy the album and come to their shows. Nothing wrong with that, they want to make money like everyone else.

I think their best sounding album (it's actually only an EP I guess) is Phantom on the Horizon. I wish it were a full length like they talked about. There were supposed to be two more chapters and a remix of Semi-Fiction, but instead they just re-recorded the other four chapters and added Chapter 3. I guess it was because they were going through Tim's leaving and Frank entering the picture.
