UGHH....I'm kind of speechless right now, here's bassist Nick Harmer on Twilight:


"I think that a lot of our songs in general concern a lot of the things the main characters in the books are going through: There's a lot of stuff about relationships beginning and ending, and the questioning that happens around being in love and falling out of love," he said. "That's a comfort zone for us, so a lot of the lyrical content [front-man] Ben [Gibbard] writes also happens to line up with what the characters are going through in the film. Basically the Twilight series is about love, and that's a major theme for us. So, it wasn't difficult for us at all.”

OP needs to get over it. Artists don't write songs for you, the listener. They write only for themselves. In this case, Ben just happens to want to write for Twilight. The world is not coming to an end.

If they were all about "quick cash" I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have released an 8-minute song as the first single off a new album. Plans was successful, they probably could have easily written Plans Part II, but they did something completely different instead. That hardly meshes with wanting "quick cash".

This soundtrack just keeps getting better and better. I may have to actually buy it.

And yes, we know many of you on here need to reassert your manhood by talking about how much you hate Twilight, but give it a rest. The books are bad, sure, but I'm it's more annoying listening to you whine about it. It must be exhausting being so angry about something so stupid.

eh I liked Narrow Stairs more than Plans. Bixby Canyon Bridge alone makes it better than Plans.

While i do think that a band should conistently put out good albums, if they stick to the same exact sound for every album it inevitably gets boring.

have you even heard of some of the bands already confirmed to put music on this? there are some really legit music makers on this, and there will be good music on this soundtrack suprisingly. even though i do not approve of twilight as much as the next person, dont use this story to try and jump on the "death cab sucks" band wagon. because they dont suck. they're freakin death cab for cutie.
