A Willing to Reside in Attachment
I’ve been building up and crashing down
Like a child playing with toy blocks
The pattern isn’t healthy
And I’m running low on sanity
But it’s all I’ve got when I climb the mountain alone
And they say
When you reach the top someone will be there
Waiting with a simple proposition
Of passion and commitment
But to me it’s just a myth carved in stone
Even though I pass by those who say they’ve found it
They’re phantoms putting on a show
And I can’t wear a disguise anymore
Or look at the ones who still do
I want to dispose of the encounters
With the people who send me further out to sea
As they blur into one solid clone
I’ve been searching for something to captivate me
For more than ten seconds
Where can I refill my lack of excitement
How do you request a little more enlightenment
When nobody can hear you calling
When people let you pass through like a simple wind blown
When I’m lost I try to find my way back
But the sea erases all of my tracks
So point me in the right direction
For a taste of affection
And away from the loneliness I’d rather lack
Just show me home
I’ve been building up and crashing down
Like a child playing with toy blocks
The pattern isn’t healthy
And I’m running low on sanity
But it’s all I’ve got when I climb the mountain alone
And they say
When you reach the top someone will be there
Waiting with a simple proposition
