The Summer EP Artwork

The 5 song EP will be available for free right here on AP.net in early May. Scott Weber's record label Relevance Records (www.myspace.com/relevancerecords) will be producing an 8 song version that will be available for purchase (online and at shows).

Basically, this is the biggest promotion we've ever done for a band - and we want it to be a huge success. So, we'll have banners and stuff for you guys to start helping to spread in the near future.

Here's the whole deal before the comments come rolling in...Yes, thanks to the CEO of Relevance (my good friend Dane), him and I have co-launched a record label. It's blowing up faster than we could have ever expected and Dane and I are both friends with Sherwood, and Sherwood is doing this EP pretty DIY. We're pressing the EP, etc etc, and we're super thankful to be able to put out this release for them - but Sherwood isn't signed to us long term or anything - the band is still free agents and they're going to get a great record deal, I know it.

We're in negotiations with more than a few totally awesome bands, so keep your eyes peeled for news on them. This EP is going to be amazing and I'm so stoked to even have a hand in it.

i saw this and got so excited i wanted to pee my pants. i talked to dan at a show last month and he said that if everything worked out the way he wanted, they would have a new ep out and it would be something big. thank goodness it worked out. sherwood is so amazing. they work so hard, they are so nice, are amazing live, and just so happen to make the best songs my ears have ever heard. its coming just in time for the summer too, and you can't help but listen to these guys and think of the summer. i can't wait! ~shawn

Scott...I know that you'll be getting this a lot, but are you looking for bands to work with? I've talked to you about mine once before when we had our older songs, but we've recently posted three new ones and have printed a sampler with the same three songs for giving away this summer on our first ever tours. We think they're miles ahead of the old stuff and I think if you can appreciate catchy, poppy music, you might like it and acknowledge its ability to be successful and its accessibility.

We've also got some killer shows lined up with Say Anything, Bottom Line, and a short June 9th - June 15th tour with Southcott. Close to 70,000 plays on pureVOLUME (never been on the front page), a very capable van and trailer, a lot of shows already played, a lot of shows to soon be played, and a dream that we're giving up on going to college in hopes of pursuing.

Hey weebs, please don't ever lose your credibility and sign some band that you know isn't good but that's gonna sell discs. Find more bands like Gatsby's, etc. and give em the exposure they deserve. Very impressed, man, very impressed.
