Anybody played Hit Machine yet? It's a free online guitar hero/rockband styled game that you can play just using your keyboard. Pretty addicting, and for having a limited number of tracks so far, they're pretty diverse (Black Lips, Chromeo, Tokyo Police Club, The Rocket Summer, and Thievery Corporation are just a few of the artists) which is great. I thought that the 'easy' skill level was harder than Easy on either Guitar Hero or RockBand, so the game was challenging from the start...which was kind of frustrating, kind of cool. You can play head-to-head, so if anybody wants to play, my screename there is displacedbrett
Here's a video of me playing Tokyo Police Club's "Your English Is Good" (http://displacedbrett.wordpress.com/2009/08/26/hit-machine/) :

I just gave it a shot. I think its a great idea, it just sucked for me because from about midnight to 7 am (CST) my computer lags insanely for some reason....ill try it out later today though.

I don't have any firewalls or anything at work so I do play all the time haha. Only thing is I can't use the sound...yet I still have fun playing with just the screen (ridiculous, I know). This also makes things a little bit harder, because generally on the faster note runs I kind of rely on the feel of the tune rather than just watching the fretboard.

Ah sweet, looks like they just added some new tracks. I get the sneaking suspicion that eventually they're going to make us pay for new songs...but still, it's cool that they're putting out new shit for now and they're not just using a bunch of obvious choices. I was pretty stoked that they had The Comas ('Come My Sunshine') and Middle Distance Runner ("The Unbeliever') in this week's wave of new tracks. I mean, check out the video for "The Unbeliever" how cool is that?
