Basically, I think 5 years from now, Everything in Transit will probably not hold as deep a value as Dookie, but it won't be far from it. American Idiot is going to hurt Green Day in these polls.

The MCS/Green Day debate shouldn't be, because MCS has two good albums, not one incredible one, which JM has...

Albums of that magnitude dont exist much anywhere, by any artist.
What happened to albums like dookie? well it sells 12 million copies then after they go on to make albums like insomniac, nimrod, and warning. and dont forget before all of this a album called kerplunk. About 10 years after the release of dookie, how could you expect the band to sound the same, its called growth and every band does it. However, american idiot was not their best work, but they made 5 other insane albums. american idiot was a very different ablum for them and bands do it, aprociate more green day material, the album was a story. They did not sell out, they always been popular, green day always got a lot of airplay. Do you think JM will be releasing an album like everything in transit 10 years from now? i hope not, cuz they already did that.

Im not saying that longer-living bands should always win, but its like come on JM has put out one release. And its not like green day is some mediocre band thats been around forever, 12 years after dookie they are again arguably the biggest rock band out there. thats pretty incredible if you ask me.
