I felt the sting of disappointment dull
fulfillment's blade, as it nicked me from
nape to chop and scored its sound
from ivory rounds and peri-winked-at innuendos.
You've marked me for dead,
'till you visit mirth 'pon me 'gain

I hear my mouth running south of the ruse
as I dip my toes up to the waist's band,
trying to make you forget.
I've been working these purple hands
'pon your worries' necks,
but it appears I've become their masseuse.

The car is exhausted and exherted,
as evidenced by its windows.
You sound just as breathless
as the assassinated engine.
A symphony of subtle gasps
blind to the pentagram.
