I don't mind girls, I do mind the little punkass kids (usually they're about 14 or 15) who think that to mosh you must punch in the head. You half want to pull them aside and explain to the little bastards that it's not done like that and you half want to jack them back in the face...

There are some really fucked pits I have been to.

For one example, I was at Green Day show, and this stupid 15 year old fuck starts flipping out punching kids and takes this pizza box and starts whacking himself and other people with it.

Me and my friend Mike are like "Dude, your a fucking homo. Stop that shit, Green Day doesnt even play that fast."(although we are huge fans, there is no need for moshing there.)

So the kid ignores it and his friends make a circle pit and start hopping and dancing around. Eventually this veteran mosher who looks totally jacked, says "Cut the shit fuckwad, you've obvisiously never been in a real pit" and punches the kid in the face. It was so funny.

It goes to show you that, kids take this moshing shit way to seriously.

Ok, I think some of that is crap. I go in mosh pits, and I know what Im getting myself into. What pisses me off are the girls that come all dressed up, and don't even like the music. this is my stance on the moshpit...not that anycares....but everyone gets into the music in different,personally i can really get into music at some shows, doing that i just kinda move to the music, but others feel the need to get into some moshing to get into the music, thats cool, but its when people get into them just to get into them, thats what pissess me off.....and you can always tell those people apart

i think everyone probably hates the same thing about pits...

i hate the people that have never been to a show before...and they feel like they have to mosh because "like you know" thats the cool thing to do. These people include the 14 year olds as well as the 23 year olds.

I hate when people start going crazy in pits...and either the music has stopped or its a slow/acoustic part that really wouldnt entice anyone to do anything moshlike.

I hate when people start skanking...when its like mxpx playing some pop punk song. Its fun to skank, and its fine by me if you do it to any song you like because you think its fun...But if your doing it because that other show you've been to had a ska band playing something to skank to, and now you think you have to skank at everyshow you go to...then you shouldnt skank.

i like crowd surfing but i hate when people have one continuous chain of nonstop surfing...as if the crowd is some conveyer belt and you hop on...get off...go back to the beginning and do it all over again... surfing is fun, but does the thought of looking at the band ONCE during the set ever seem like a good idea?

i dont actually HATE these things, because hate is a strong word and you know...but those are some of the things i think about when im at a show.

The best pits are when people are singing. The best show I've been to was and LTJ show, they got a huge circle pit goin' around the pole in the middle and every person in the pit was singing, that made it even better...

Last year at warped tour i was crowd surfing during rbf, and i got dropped on the concrete, it didnt really hurt i just got some bloody elbows, but i aqctually did enjoy it, some girl even flashed me for my troubles so that was cool.

me too....at the afi show i saw recently, if this one guy hadn't seen me go down, and not helped me up...i would have been done for. it was really scary. but i know no one meant to hurt me, so i wasn't mad. also, i think 'moshing' is about getting into the band and getting stoked on what they are doing, while also being courteous to all those around you...does that make sense? i mean, i only thrash around because i am getting into the band and their music and going crazy because that's what happens.. and it feels so good too! but, i know, i do hate the dumb people who are in there to hit people. they don't understand

i just got back from the NUFAN show.

the pit wasn't too bad. when people are moshing i will do it with them, but when i see a big fat guy, i run. i learned my fat guy moshing lesson.

it was a pretty fun show even though i'm not really into nufan. now i'm thinking i cant wait till warped tour.

yeah, last night at the takeover tour show in L.A. my friend kept on shoving me so i would run into the people in front of me to piss them off and to piss me off, and like after 5 or 6 times i guess people got pissed off about it, so a little mosh pit started with me in the middle i got my glasses hit off and struggled to put them back on, but i survived and my glasses did too! woohoo!
