View Full Version : Favorite Singers (It's All About The Voice, List Your Choice)

Full Effect Ed
08/29/09, 05:06 PM
Let's get a top 5 personal favorite singers thread going...you can even go as far as to list why.

5) Chino Moreno (The Deftones)
4) Stephen Christian (Anberlin)
3) Lajon Witherspoon (Sevendust)...I've been into Sevendust for about 12 years now, they're one of the best live bands you'll ever see, and the main reason I'm still an avid fan is because of Lajon. He's got this unique gospel-like voice that usually gets real aggressive in most songs, and he hits all the same notes live, unlike a lot of other singers.
2) Greg Attonito (The Bouncing Souls)...My favorite band ever and Greg's one of the main reasons. Damn his voice fits perfect with the music.
1) Jason Cruz (Strung Out)...One reason to sum it all up, with every album they put out, even if there's a song that I'm just not feeling musically I still end up digging it in the end because of Jason Cruz

5. Spencer Krug

1. Thom Yorke.

But this doesn't leave room for Jordan Blilie, Jesse Coppenbarger, Tunde Adebimpe, Neko Case, or Anthony Raneri. I liked more vocalists than I thought.

Well Jeff Buckley would be probably. The vocals on pretty much everything from Grace still blow me away.

-Butch Walker: This guy's emotional delivery is pretty much second to none right now, and he's versatile as fuck too. Can do a carefree pop song like no one else, but his best songs are deeper than that, and the voice sours the highest on the ballads. The notes he hits on the bridge in Don't Move are straight up insane.

-Bruce Springsteen: Not so much now, but in the earlier days, this guy could wail. The end of Jungleland is the perfect example of how huge and epic his voice could sound.

-Bono: Say what you want about U2, but this guy is insane. Massive range and power.

-Dallas Green: Beautiful, unique voice.

-Damien Rice
