I thought there were too many before a year ago. Now there are way too many. They can simply be merged or put into sub-forums. Rock and hardcore should be merged, imo; as well as emo and punk. Maybe pop can go with that. I am surprised I have not seen a forum for album reviewing yet. If there were to ever be one, it should be merged with show reviews, music video reviews and just be called simply "Reviews". Poll forum does not have to be there. I don't understand set list. Recommendations is pretty much all of those music forums put together. Mix tapes, self promotion and the musician forum should all be merged with discussion.

I miss the rep points.

The 'music' forums are spread out on purpose, I did it to isolate topics. Fans of certain genres can hang in certain forums and avoid other genres.

Album reviews can be done by anyone on the album review page. Maybe I need to make that more clear in the future.

Polls are used on the main page of the site, it's just a little interactive thing.

Set list was requested by users and a lot of people like knowing what's being played at shows.

Recommendations is mainly for staff on sundays to have a place to post recs, but users like talking about it.

Mix tape was fan requested.

Selfpromotion you don't want involved with the other forums.

I agree to some extent. I don't like having to check like 10 forums now. I used to just look at the general and entertainment forums. I thought having the music forums together was much more convienent even if I saw a few threads of a band/genre I don't like.

Well, thanks Tate. It makes a bit more sense. Having many music genre forums may make people elite and/or upset. People will say something like, "Norma Jean? omg there not hardocre, theyre metalcore" for example.

This will happen for sure. The big one will be the emo forum.

Not singling anyone out here..

So many people have made that argument, and it has yet to get out of hand. Especially once the moderators are chosen, it will be easy to move the thread to the appropriate forum. No big deal.

I like them a lot.
