I am excited to hear these new songs. I heard that they were really awesome sounding but we will have to wait and see I guess.

I think that they do have a full length out but it wasn't released on Drive Thru. I forgot the title of the album but it had a song called "Acoustified" on it I think.

nope. just a really shitty EP. this band is the product of that 'shitty band signing phase' that drive thru had. an EP that contains one of the most annoying songs ever recorded that the band released forever ago (attention) and no publicity.

Drive-Thru has so many bands that haven't put out anything. I'm still waiting for stuff by Jenoah; they've been on the label for two years, and I haven't even heard news about them putting out anything.

that "Shitty EP" is actually a demo/sampler as you could probably tell by the production...
It wasn't great but showed some promise, their full length should be much better.

I hope these newer demos are on the same style. If they've changed again, the band may as well split up because they can't keep a sound.

Oh and by the way, the 'shitty signing spree' produced Adelphi, Hellogoodbye, Jenoah and Socratic. Honestly, how is that shit?

Signing HelloGoodbye and Socratic was one of the best moves in dtr history. Hopefully when we hear new Adelphi, that statement will be backed up.

maybe he meant shitty in that a good majority of the said bands have taken WAY too long to have new stuff released. i like a little adelphi and jenoah, and a bunch of socratic. the first two have like nothing new out from dtr and they've been on the label for quite some time. as for socratic, i personally think they got shafted with the lack of promotion for an album that really blew me away. i didn't even know it was out there for the longest time.

the fact is, they HAVE recorded demos, and theyve been around a long time. you just never hear about them cause they dont release them. personally the new shit is lightyears different from anything youd expect them to do based on previous releases. and plus, maybe theyre not content with just putting out a mediocre record simply because the fans or whoever demand it? maybe they want their first to be a big release for them so they CAN get out there. a shitty release would just hurt their publicity more.

they're all really talented musicians who are doing something a little different, and they get no respect for that, even in their hometown/state

Exactly, if you have only heard "attention" you would be quite shocked with all of their other songs. Attention really doesnt sound like any of the music they have been making lately. I really respect them, they have always been really nice and still play local shows around here. I heard that drive thru wouldnt release any of their new stuff because they didnt like the direction their music is heading (even though their new stuff is a lot better and proves that they have talent)....but that could just be a really lame rumor though.

I love the band now, and while I enjoyed Attention at first, it did get old.

This new stuff is totally different, but great. The only way I can describe the new sound is 'classic', stuff that's gonna last.

haha i remember when my band played with adelphi, no one knew any of their songs but once they ended their set with "attention" everyone started to sing the song. pretty funny. they need new stuff.
