What are some of the songs that you like from terrible bands? I know everyone has at least one, so here's a couple of mine:

Escape the Fate - There's No Sympathy For the Dead. Terrible band, but this song has a great dynamic, smooth melodies and decent lyrics. The rest of Escape the Fate's songs are average or terrible.

Hollywood Undead - Young. They're actually decent when they decide to be a real band. Which is rare.

I'm sure there are a lot of bands that I think are great that you don't like. The reality of this site is that there are a lot of like-minded folks here that make it very difficult to express a contrary opinion without backlash. Not liking bands like Brand New or Blink 182 (the latter of which I like very much) on this site is the equivalent of blaspheming on national television. I'm not afraid to say that I don't like Brand New, it's just unfortunate when responses like your initial one come out because rather than flaming me, it simply looks like you're following the herd without any consideration that perhaps the musical tastes of the generic AP.net member aren't the be-all and end-all of music. Yes, I thought that Shake It was a catchy song. This is a song written by industry experts, with instruments predominantly played by studio musicians, and put through a machine that labels now use that compared it to a catalogue of millions of hits from the past to test its potential success. The songs that go through that process and rank high are released and tend to do well. Do I feel bad for enjoying a song with all of those aspects that happens to be fronted by a bunch of talentless hacks? Not at all. My question to you is rather than taking a shot at me for my admission (and the whole reason this thread exists), why were you too scared to list off a band you hate except for that one song? Hopefully not because you were afraid that somebody like yourself would come through and flame you for it...
