Hmm...this is the first time I've listened to them, and I'm really liking this song. Any others you care to recommend?

Pretty well shot video accompanied by very shitty assrock music

Judging by your "is a fan of" section, this probably won't even be worth my time, but...you seriously just called this assrock?

1. what is assrock?
2. does assrock really apply to this song?

You listen to As Cities Burn...just sayin'.

1)Assrock = Papa Roach, Killswitch Engage, Shinedown, Theory Of A Deadman, this band, and similar.
2) Yes it does

And As Cities Burn are an extremely good passionate harder band so I dont see your point

That assrock video i posted is from the album Suffer Survive, which people are allowed to dislike. I like some songs off that album but Ill Blood is easily in the top 10 albums of the decade in our scene. As Cities Burn wishes they could have the talent to write Ill Blood.

They are not a band I mosh to. I mosh to bands I don't give a shit about. Ones that really have no substance but I'm just there to have fun with friends and dance and shit. Good bands like As Cities Burn I actually stand off to the side and pay close attention to.

Terrible attempt at explanation. Set Your Goals new album sounds like Suffer Survive. You're going to say it doesn't and list all the reasons why. Honestly, in this case, I don't care. We all know it sounds like it and you aren't going to fool anyone.

If you're still seeing bros push moshing chances are you are hanging out with miscreant dingles and you fit in well.

Haha, eh! Taste is subjective, I'm not going to be elitist about this, but you just said that one of the best/most loved hardcore bands of the last decade were the worst band you've ever seen. yeah Ill Blood is good hardcore, then they signed to Warner and put out Suffer Survive, which from what I've heard sounds like Sum 41 if they grew up on hardcore, and they toured with all those bands, but yeah

obviously the atmosphere wasn't like that at the show i went to. i guess i just don't get the hardcore thing. i can't tell why one band gets more credit than others. i mean that video looked crazy but the only impressive thing was the crowd. there was nothing special to me that stood out about the band, whether it be instrument-wise (then again maybe that's not the point) or anything else. and while there was a ton of energy, i'm willing to bet most hardcore bands have a ton of energy. what makes them great to certain people i don't know. but then again im not claiming to know much.

This is a fair response. Some people don't get hardcore and I'm not faulting them for it, it's not exactly accessible.

you guys do know No Warning/Sum 41 had the same producer right? lol.

either way, that whole "I dont get hardcore" nonsense is stupid. I don't listen to many hardcore bands or take part in anything hardcore community related, or go to any current hardcore musical style shows, and No Warning is still one of my favorite bands. If you listen to the instrumentation on Ill Blood, those guitars put Terror or dare I say Third Eye Blind to shame talent wise, you cannot deny the writing, the lyrics maybe cheesy, but I'll take Ben's cheap metaphors over the goofy cry you heart out over girls but make it hardcore music in American Nightmare/Give Up the Ghost any day.

His lyrics are far from the worst thing going on in hardcore. Not "getting" hardcore is just someone making an excuse for being afraid to say they don't like it.
