I posted this to news last night, but someone either hates them or doesn't know who they are. Maybe they hated that they couldn't edit what I said into something different. Kid'n.
Anyways, according the the band's MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/lostprophets), the follow-up to the 2004 Lostprophets (http://www.sonymusic.co.uk/lostprophets/intro.php) album, Start Something, is scheduled for release on June 27th, 2006 entitled Liberation Transmission.

I've been a fan of theirs longer than I have any of my other favorite bands... I can't wait to see where they took their sound this time.

The Fake Sound Of Progress=Probably the best British debut of this decade so far. That was such an incredible album. Start Something was complete wank however.

judging by your avatar, thought you might find it interesting that there are rumors to the effect that Ilan Rubin of Denver Harbor is now playing drums for Lostprophets.
quixotic

The Fake Sound of Progress was a great album... Start Something, in my opinion, was a little bit a let down.

I heard about that... or actually I saw an ad for Vater Percussion in an issue of Alternative Press that had Ilan listed as being in Lostprophets.
And almost fell off the bed.
I tried messaging Lostprophets to ask about it and never got a response, despite them saying they answer their messages (might try that again though). Saw FenixTX about a month ago and Aaron from DH was there, and I never got a chance to ask him, Will, or Chris about it.
That would make me insanely happy... Mike Chiplin was an amazing drummer, but so is Ilan and I'd be interested to see what he would bring to Lostprophets.

Nothing on the Lostprophets site confirming it. Just a lot of speculation. There are some comments on Ilan Rubin's myspace page that suggest he's in the UK right now. Also, Aaron of Denver Harbor sent out a bulletin telling the UKers that they're going to shit if they're going to Give it a Name. So, I think it's a pretty safe bet he's in. Apparently Josh Freese plays on the soon-to-be released third Lostprophets CD, which was produced by Bob Rock.
BTW, in case you haven't seen it, go to www.rehearsals.com, click on "exclusive performances" and scroll down to Fenix Tx for an awesome vid of them doing Phoebe Cates.

Josh Freese is also amazing, so that's more good news.
I saw that bulletin from Aaron, and that was the first thing that came to my mind as well, that Ilan was going to be there with Lostprophets.
It'll be nice to know either way, even if everything going on with Ilan joining LPS and Fenix TX being back means the chances of a second record from Denver Harbor is pretty slim... at least the other projects are two other bands I like.
And thanks for the link, I'll check it out tomorrow when it's not almost 4am :) I love that song.

This is good news, I hope the album is going to sound like those demos on thier myspace, just refined.
I loved the Fake Sound of Progress, Start Something is pretty good as well. I saw them in concert probably 2 years ago, they were really good live.
and Ian is gorgeous. :wow:
