Just got a new laptop and trying to set up utorrent but the download wont start. im on my wireless internet at uni so im figure theirs a blocked port or something? anyone know a way around this?

Some colleges limit your bandwidth so you cant dl torrents and stuff, I believe. My gf wanted to hook up Xbox live but couldnt cause of the limited internet access, she asked them to allow more and they agreed. There should be a a/v guy at your school that could do it.

Isn't that what the protocol encryption is for? Try changing it to enabled. It's in preferences, bittorrent on uTorrent.
