This band needs way more love on here.

Someone linked this live version of Waiting Room from 1988 in a thread here a while ago, but i'm going to post it again. It's amazing.

Does anyone know if this whole live show is on video? That's the only one i can see of it on YouTube.

And are those little kids siting on the floor watching the show? haha. If so, that'd be rad.

I deleted all the CDs I downloaded/ripped without owning a month ago, out of conscience or insanity or whatever. Anyway, the point is I don't think I miss anyone more than I miss the Fugazi CDs I had.

Hmm, I wonder if the Evens ever come by my dingy ass area. Its the type of music that live I might enjoy, but on record does little for me. Oh, and Fugazi is great, but I think argument is their most accessible album by far. And for some reason, everyone I've ever shown waiting room thinks its a terrible song. Admittedly, only one of them liked hardcore or any related styles at all, but still.

AP_Punk
05/30/07, 10:53 PM
The Argument was the first Fugazi album I bought. I was standing/starring at their CDs for over an hour, trying to decide which one to get.

I should listen to it.... haha. I've had it on my comp for forever, I need to listen to it. Listening to the first song, its very bass heavy (obviously), but its also odd. According to a review of it, its not what you would expect from fugazi's bassist, and he preaches but never panders. Its sorta bluesy.

All the basslines on the album are great. Its much simpler than my usual style of music, but these basslines are tight. You have to remember, I think he is the one who wrote waiting room's bassline.

Only other Mackaye band that are as good as Fugazi are Minor Threat, and although their were some great songs (out of step, straight edge, in my eyes) but none of them are quite as good as Waiting Room.
