I know that, but in General, Colorado is much better. I saw the Fear Before awhile back with Armor and Saosin and they sucked, but the new record isn't terrible. Tickle Me Pink is ok too. Single File is really just kind of meh

Meh, 3OH!3 is just party boy music. Spur of the moment pop duo who makes moderately good throw down stuff. Great for the bitchin' kegger, not much else, though. Having said that, the Best New Artist category kinda sucks this year.

Comparatively though, they look pretty good.

Asher Roth- The Dave Matthews of modern hip hop. If you ain't blazin' whilst listening to him, you can't really enjoy it. Good, but not great.

Drake- Kanye west JR, basically. Bland rapper is bland.

Kid Cudi- Ok, he's actually pretty good. A solid 7 1/2 in my book

Lady GAGA- If herpes put on a people costume, and then did a shit ton of cocaine, this would be the result. On a 1-5 star scale, she gets NO STARS!

So yea, out of that group, in my opinion, 3OH!3 doesn't seem that bad, really.

last summer, i listened to 3OH!3 every day in my friend's car. it's fun music, but once it hit the radio everywhere and middle school girls started listening to them, it was just embarrassing.

I agree with what you're saying about them being funny and having fun, but I don't think that you can label them as a joke (like the Lonely Island is. They are actually serious about making their music (or whatever you want to call it), they're just very tongue in cheek about it. They know that it's ridiculous and over the top (did you ever see the video of the stripped down version of "Don't Trust Me" or "Still Around?"), they're not trying to claim that they are genuine hip-hop artists and that they're "message" is truth. They're just saying stupid shit and having fun. Yeah, it's obviously not great music, but it's fun and harmless until a bunch of 15 year old kids start thinking that's what music is about and that the whole thing is serious. If people didn't try to make them something they're not, I don't think there would be as much controversy over them as there is now.

I like some screaming. I like Senses Fail, some Silverstein, etc., but this is just unbearable for me. I think there's a difference between screaming because of emotion and screaming for screaming's sake (which is what this appears to me to be). I would just never choose to listen to something like that.

Senses Fail's screams are horrible and i like the band. Silverstein pretty much sucks. Iwabo doesn't scream just to scream either. They do it to create an aural effect of unease. Same with the clean vocals that they spatter throughout their songs.
