Well although this isn't that forum, IMO I think it helps to put them up ahead of time to let people know of the dates who don't constantly check the artists' myspace pages or whatever. Also the thread builds anticipation for it and creates discussion about the tour and also predictions of probable setlists. Finally when a show is done a setlist is eventually put up and I think it's easier to keep everything from the build up to the general discussion to the setlist and show review itself in one nice thread. Just my 2 cents. :D

i think TRS can do so much better than this. i know a lot of people are not a fan of their music, but Bryce Avery is a million times more talented as an individual than any of the bands on this tour.

I don't think Bryce has skipped us in FOREVER....and he is likely touring on his new album so why play everywhere EXCEPT the NW especially when they could have easily added dates right after the Cali ones:(

I agree. This is the wrong tour for Bryce, unless he really changed his sound for this release. And i think he'll be releasing the album AFTER this tour, since a release date hasn't been announced yet.

From what I know of Jonathan and the rest of FTSK, they are all Christian guys. I would find this to be quite a shock if it turned out to be true.

Since I only asked for merch pics twice in a 5 page thread, I don't see how you have such a problem with it.
Also, it's better to see what merch there is BEFORE a show so I know how much money I need to save/bring. Is that really a problem?

A majority of the time, only if you're buying a sweatshirt, or a whole lot more merch than you actually need, it will be more. Tickets usually cost $15 - $20, and bands charge just as much for shirts. Totes will run you $5 - $10 depending on the popularity of the band, and then you have stickers, CDs, and the like. I went to see Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter last Wednesday, and I paid $10 for a shirt ..... as much as I used to be into buying merch, its just not my bag anymore. *shrug*

Again, I said its not only you. You are one of many people in many threads who asks for merch pics. I say, budget $30 bucks extra to bring to any show, and just do it the old fashioned way. Before people started to cheat.

Surprised this isn't coming to Toronto or at least Buffalo considering DWW is Canadian[yeah, they are only on about 8-9 dates, but still] Haven't seen them live, but I have heard they put on quite the crazy live show. Those dudes have been at it for a while now, since about 1999. I remember being 12-13 years old and walking in downtown Toronto with VW signs[volkswagen] as DWW instead stenciled on the sidewalks on street pillars. Crazy.

I went tonight and Bryce was outside after the show, probably only because the bands get kicked out of this venue by 10:00. I know he's been at merch at a lot of other shows.

It's almost as crazy as The Ataris OPENING for Emarosa for Emarosa's hometown show. Hometown or not, that's insane. I'm sure Bryce will have his own headlining tour when his new album's release date nears though.

For a second I thought you were talking about the Pontiac show, and I was about to shit bricks.
But then I saw that you're talking about the Grand Rapids show and realized I don't have to go through the torture of that kid's performance.

I had to listen to him, it seemed like such a long set. He made me want to drink more than I had. It really sucked because the venue didn't allow re-entry at all. So it's not like I could have left then came back.

Ginger boy from FTSK got mobbed at the bar during NSN... I actually felt bad because he was trying to watch the show. Everyone at the bar was waiting for security to tell the minors to get lost but the security decided this time it was fine for minors to be at the bar.

TRS was good, the crowd wasn't as good as I hoped for. But it was still a good set.

Well, at the Pontiac show, it was crowded and massive - but the show got moved from the original venue to the venue's basement (The venue it was supposed to be in was the same venue as Boys Like Girls sold out, The Academy Is... hasn't sold out from that venue yet). So, there were about 300+ people crammed into the pit of the basement, people shoving to move up a few inches (because if you were in the pit, you were no longer then 4 feet away from the stage at all angles).

At my show everyone was hanging out. MFH was by their merch booth, SIL was just back of the venue talking to people, TRS ended up being at his merch table after the show (and outside) and ftsk was outside after the show.

I went to three dates, one was a college show so it was the smallest they've played, and the other two were in Pittsburgh/Baltimore- both sold out. The Baltimore show had capacity of over 1000 and the Pittsburgh show was at Diesel so around 500? So the crowd sizes are pretty big, be prepared.
Also, they probably will not be changing their setlist at all, I've known them to keep the exact same setlist entire tours.

He did really well from what I could see.

Artist vs. Poet could be better.
My Favorite Highway was a little disappointing for me. They played well, but I was bored.
I didn't really notice the lack of Kieran musically during Sing It Loud's set.
The Rocket Summer was amazing as usual. Always brings a different energy to a room.
FTSK sounded great. Better than some of the other times I've seen them. I still don't like the new songs all that much, but I was really happy that they played "Becky Starz."
