give a valid reason for why you hate the team/organization.
I hate the Boston Red Sox. I don't pull for the Yankees... I just hate the Red Sox. Back in 2004 when Bronson Arroyo, Johnny Damon, and the rest of the retards all had those stupid haircuts and proclaimed themselves the idiots or whatever. Any organization that approves of that type of unprofessional bullshit sucks.
The Cubs as well. Don't like those guys. I think it has more to do with their asshole fans than the actual organization that rubs me the wrong way.

I hate all Philly teams for that reason and I hate UNC for that reason (love Roy Williams, hate that UNC fans are the yankee fans of college b-ball).
The only two teams I can think of that I hate for players are Florida (for Donovan and Noah) and Syracuse...solely for Eric Devendorf and how that was all handled...but once he's gone that will go away. Its funny cause now that Noah is in the NBA, he's hilarious, but in college he redefined douche...and I don't think he changed personality at all

Any Australian team. I'm a New Zealander, that's what we do. Also, the South African rugby team. Again a NZ thing, but also the coach is an asshole, he thinks that he and his team are all that. I mean, yeah they're good, but shut up about it already.

can you honestly fault them for that, though? it's not "against the rules" to spend what they do AND they are responsible for giving the small market teams money. it's not realistically smart to spend as much as they do but on the other side, other owners should spend a bit more and look at things more on the side of owning a team for the love of the game rather than a business investment. that's one of the clear reasons as to why the yankees HAVE spent as much. in addition to the amount of revenue they make from marketing/merchandise, the steinbrenner family bought the team because of a love for baseball - and i'm actually quite happy they have put the amount of money into the organization that they have.

i'm not surprised at all. but it's not like they're doing anything against the rules, and they comply with the consequences in place for exploiting the system (revenue sharing, loss of draft picks for signing type As). basically what i'm getting at is i'm not sure what the reason behind the hate is other than an unfair advantage - and why there's no hate for the other teams that have one as well (which may not necessarily be the case considering your post, but may be the case for others). if that's the reason, then there should also be a dislike for the system that allows them and others to spend as a means of having an unfair advantage and a dislike for teams like the marlins that incessantly pocket the money rather then put it back into the team.

as a fan of the 'little brother' ny baseball team, i can elaborate a bit. the yankees have been winning since the mid 90s and their fans expect it. actually they not only expect it...they have come to assume it is some god given right. the vast majority of them sit on top their perch and look down at the rest of baseball as if it is a joke.

I find it incredibly annoying that Yankee fans can't just say "you're right, but what can I do? It's my team and that's that." THAT I respect. But incessant babbling in defense of it is obnoxious. And I really don't feel any differently about Red Sox fans, so that comparison is lost on me.
Yankee fans are a special breed. I fucking HATE the philadelphia "every fan base has bad fans, we get a bad rap" argument. HATE IT. It absolutely burns me up. Your fan base has a reputation for a reason, do not try to deny it. It is full of arrogance and false senses of entitlement, even amongst the knowledgeable fans. Wonderful for you, but I will never respect your fans. I have a hard enough time respecting the non-arrogant ones as well. I made a pretty obvious generalization, you have to be a complete dolt to take that as "hey, 100% of your fans are douchebags, no exceptions, that includes you."
