I need some new electronica music in my system and I have no idea whos who and what to look for. Help a brother out and and pimp some DJs i should look out for.

I'm into Turntablism, Drum&Bass, and some laid back stuff like Trance

Oh! None of that god fucking awful obnoxious german "VVVEEEE DUB IN THA HOUSE Y'ALLLL! VEEEEE DRAAAAPEEEED EEET LIKE IT WAS HAAWT!" party synth shit Paris Hilton would giggle and probably would think is neat...

i'm certainly far from an expert, so i'll just name the popular ones and some i saw in south beach:

DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold

they're all trance, definitely check out "Traffic" by Tiesto

I'm not big on turntablism, but I do know that Kid Koala is pretty much the best out there. It's a bit of an acquired taste, but, man, the stuff on his debut album is fucking hysterical.

D&B? I've always loved Ed Rush & Optical. Check out the albums Wormhole and The Creeps, but good luck trying to find them in stores. But, then again, if you're into the genre, you should already know 'em.

And 'laid back' trance? Chicane does it for me. A little cheesy and new agey at times, but, man, Far From The Maddening Crowd is a beautiful album.

I apologise if you've already heard of all of the above. :P

I'll definately have to check out the other guys you mentioned. Thanks!

Paul Oakenfold is alright. Not a fan of him, but not a hater either. Tiesto you say? I'll check him out man. Thanks!
