was anyone else there? i'll tell you what, i enjoyed the show 100x more at the TLA in philly than at the chameleon in lancaster. the chameleon is a crappy venue to begin with, and it just didnt seem like the bands were as into it. w/ philly being a homecoming for like lions and the starting line (and also hidden in plain view to a degree), they all seriously rocked the place. part of it too was that it was really nice to see the guys in like lions, and the after party was pretty killer. but i thought every set was pretty much on point, even if the starting line didn't have bass for their first two songs. i am not really a fan of gatsby's or TSL, but GAD really impressed me and it was really fun that will of cartel came out to help sing "Ready" and then he and the lead singer of HIPV totally dove into the crowd a few minutes later.

my highlight besides like lions was cartel's amazing set, of course. doesn't beat the first time i saw them, but still great. by the way, if you ever get a chance to talk to kenny from cartel- that kid is the man. he actually remembered me from the lancaster show. i'm still stunned. seriously good with putting your face to where he met you, and one of the nicest guys to talk to period.

oh yeah *plug* at said after party i finally got to meet the guys in the grand electric (who i'm doing some work for). that band is greg altman from like lions' other project. check them out if you haven't heard them, i particularly love "the nightlife". seriously awesome band on tried by fire records. http://www.myspace.com/thegrandelectric
