As of right now there is no truth to this and a statement regarding why Dallas' name is on a temporary hiatus from the band's Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/thenewtragic) will be up shortly.

I like this band. To all you people saying this band is unoriginal, Phil and Dallas are both founding members of some of the first bands in this genre.

When I asked Phil a few days ago, he said that there are political reasons for Dallas not being mentioned on the myspace or purevolume sites. Such as contractual obligations.

I'm sure this will will be cleared up soon, Phil is a very nice person and cares very much about his fans.

as far as Phil goes, I've talked to him on AIM several times and he is one of the nicest, most down to earth people I've ever talked to you

i dont think heroine is the greatest cd ever, but it is miles better (musically, lyrically, not vocally) than "dear diary." aesthetic has some of the dumbest songs FFTL wrote. phil is not that good of a singer either. but i guess to each his own.

When Maylene and the Sons of Disaster came to New York i asked Dallas what was up with The New Tragic and he told me that he was "just helping those guys out". Im pretty sure he was using his name to get them recognized a lil more. But i asked Phil and he said just legal issues are the reason Dallas's name was removed.

I talked to Dallas about this about a year ago. He said he was never really in The New Tragic, but that he was helping them out for a bit. Never intended to do it full time.

He also said that the video that came out for them that he was in was kinda sketchy and the guy who did it was a perv. He didn't see it until the finished product was around and some of the stuff with the two girls was filmed without any of the guys around by said perv.
