averaged over 35 ppg this year. I seriously think he could average 40 points in a season.

Iverson averaged 33 and Lebron averaged 31.4. I can see both of them having capabilities of doing this as well. Probably Lebron more so because he is younger.

...kobe's not exactly about to turn 40 or anything. he could do it. I'd put my money on kobe before i'd put it on lebron.

Same here, LBJ passes too much.

age has nothing to do with it, kobe could do it...
but if KG goes to the lakers, like he wants to...and kobe wants him to...kobe would average 25 to 30...IF kg goes to the lakers, they'll instantly be a contender...

that'd be intense. thats a guranteed 60 points right there.

Stephon Marbury has a chance to do it. He averaged 16 a game this year...and that led the team.</sarcasm>
I tink Kobe has the best chance though.

oh man I love KG and I couldn't stand for him to go on the Lakers...man that would suck. The Lakers would be amazing though. KG is arguably the best rebounder in basketball.

It'd be weird seeing him out of a Wolves jersey, that's for sure.

When a player gets traded to another team and I have their jersey, I continue to wear it. As a statement.

if he gets traded to the Lakers, I am going to wear my T-Wolves jersey around to spite the Lakers

kobe totally could, but in our age, that's an awful stat to have. if you're that much of your team's offense, you're on a bad team.

i have one word for you...THROWBACK
a lot of guys in the league could come close to it. It depends on how many shots you take. Since kobe has total freedom, he can take as many shots as he wants. Give that many shots to paul pierce, gilbert arenas, dirk nowitzki and they will put up forty. Lebron and iverson too. I don't think wade could ever do it. He is great but the other guys can use three pointers to help get there score higher. Wade shoots like .170 from three.

wade is so funny when it comes to threes. he's incapable of hitting them unless the game is on the line. then he's clutch. it's so bizarre.

If Larry Brown would just give Starbury total freedom, Starbury would be the greatest guard in NBA history. </sarcasm>
I really don't think it matters if Kobe can put up 40 every night. I was listening to Dan Patrick's radio show on Monday and him and Keith were talking about how MJ once had the chance to be just a scorer who lead the league every night in points. Instead, he changed and allowed another great player (Pippen) to help the Bulls and they became part of one of the greatest teams of all time. I think Kobe should concentrate more on making his team better, not on scoring 40 a night.
How would the Lakers get KG? They have to trade for him and who would they have that the Twolves would accept?

contracts and draft picks probably
edit: expiring contracts

yeah but that would have to be the next two number one's and a lot of money from those contracts. Lamar Odom probably has the biggest contract after Kobe, but it definately isn't expiring anytime soon.
I don't see the Twolves working out a trade with the Lakers, because they already know they aren't going to get an equal talent amount for KG, but what ever the lakers can give them is going to be liek 25 cents on the dollar. Maybe it could happen in a three team trade.

they arent going to get an equal talent for KG no matter what. that team is going to rebuild...they already have had two terrible seasons in a row...even if they got another superstar for Garnett so what? they still wont improve. Garnett will probably demand a trade and he will get it, if not he only has a year left on his contract anyway.

There's no way they can get equal talent, I just don't think that they will trade him to the Lakers, because the Twolves would want something better than what the Lakers could give.
Hmm maybe Isiah has this trade in the works. every draft pick the knicks have for the next 50 years to the Twolves for KG. Then he'll trade KG to the 76ers for AI. No that will never happen. Iverson passes waaaaaaaaay too much.

ive heard rumors of this KG to the Lakers trade a bunch this year, personally i would love it but i dont see it happening myself until free agency but Caleb always seems to be in the know so i wouldnt brush this off. youre right though, they arent getting anything worth KG from the Lakers.

i wonder if the mavericks would be interested, or if it would even be worth their time. they have a lot of material to trade i would think. im not sure KG and Dirk could mesh well on the court, or if that's even an interesting option to Dallas. i wouldn't want to have to give up Dirk for KG though.

ya mavericks always seem to be in the hunt for every free agent, i doubt theyd give up any of their young pieces for KG though. they are strong enough as is.
