I will be interviewing the Moneen (http://www.absolutepunk.net/artists/showlink.php?do=showdetails&l=2019&catid=2&ltr=M) this weekend so if you didn't get a chance to contribute to the questions you want to hear answered, then here's your chance. Post your questions in the replies and then listen to The Red Tree on repeat for the rest of the day.

How do you feel that you are one of the most talented bands in this scene and you get no respect?

Do canadians do anything besides play hockey, drink beer and smeer syrup on their hands?

You got any interesting stories about the tour with STD?

It seems that with the last two albums, they have had a really strong focus on mortality. Ask why this is such an important issue to them.

How much do you love Lost? Doesn't it piss you off how it isn't on every week and they show a lot of re runs. What the hell is the black smoke monster thingy that used to be on the island and where the hell is it now?

Well, they've played Passing of America the past few times I've seen them. They've got more than enough material in their last 2 CDs for a full set of music, as well.

Anywho, questions.

Where and when was the photography shot for "Life. Tragedy. Disaster?"

Have you ever eaten Canadian maple carmel? Because it's amazing.

yeah dude they opened up for std and tbs and they were so good. i definatley remeber them playing passing of america. that song is so good and after that i bought the 2cds in which P.O.A was on then i found out those happen to be my favorite cds out've the bunch. there new cd is really good. not as melodic and a bit medicre but moneen manages to keep capturing raw emotion... something you rarley see these days. i like it. i like them. i'd like for them to mix it up good next time they come around. well i'm out later

I just saw them in Chicago and was really impressed that all the effects on the songs were duplicated live (even the speed-up intro to "This Is All Bigger Than Me"). GEEK QUESTION: Do you like digital effects or analog, and what do you recommend?

Sometimes the songs (on Are We Really Happy as well) seem to blend together, flow together so much that you can barely tell where one ends and the other begins... is this on purpose and if so, why? it seems like most artists [well, excluding Top 40] are more likely to aim for diverse sounding tracks and are often berated for not doing so

Growing up and a when they first started playing their instruments, who influenced them? Who influences them now? I'm talking about actual music, not people.

I thought of this question while listening to "The Red Tree" and I'm not sure if it was asked but:

Do any of the members in Moneen smoke weed?

How did you leap from the speakers, fly through the air, land... then fall over and continue playing the guitar without missing a beat in Salt Lake on wednesday? Then How the hell did you do the Bruce Lee leap off the ground with no hands and still get back to the mic in time to sing the next verse???
