The Giants have been offering him more money than anymore else, just not the amount he wants.

He thinks he can get what he wants. The amount of money is only going to spiral downward after the draft. Should sign if he wants something decent.

i'd love to see him here in detroit.

What team wouldn't want him?

What team wouldn't want him?
true. but wasn't there talk that he was "overrated" after he baught himself out of his redskin contract? i don't see it. the dude's what? like 27 and a beast at LB. and we need one here, but apparently detroit has no interest, or he has no interest in detroit. i've heard nothing about the lions persuing him. so they're up to their old tricks. make they can draft santonio holmes and make him a LB.

every team wants him. no team is willing to pay what he wants.
and i don't remember hearing much overrated talk, just talk about how he hasn't proven he's worth what he's demanding.
whatever team gets him though is damn improved.

he's apparently agreed in principle to a deal with the giants.

7 years/49 million seems to be the hot deal this off-season

Haha. He's a beast, I love this guy. I didn't want to see him on the Giants though, but he's going to be great for them.
IF he stays healthy, though.

i'd take the over. i say he plays at least 4, likely 5. After that, he'll probably have declined and will be a salary cap casualty. Kinda like what Nate Burleson will be for Seattle after about one or two years when they realize giving him 49 million over 7 years was perhaps the worst signing in FA history.

only $5.25 million guaranteed and they're likely going to restructure it after three seasons. he won't see anything CLOSE to 49 million.

that's comforting to know and i'm not even a seahawks fan. burleson making 49 million would have been a step back for all of mankind.

oh no kidding. i almost fell out my window when i heard about it.
it's clearly just a slap in the face of the vikings after their "poison pill" with hutchinson.

nice. another linebacker that the detroit lions showed no interest in, despite the fact that linebackers, logically, should be one of our concerns in the draft. but, why help beef it up with lavar? We'll draft some rookies that can get in there and get it done. or maybe play whatever WR we take with the 9th pick at OLB. fucking cool detroit, fucking cool.
