The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot

70x7

Encore?
New Song which sounded incredible
Jude Law

was quite a fun time. The place was tiny and kids were pretty much on stage signing 70x7 cuz they were getting pushed so hard. And yes Jesse screwed up quite a bit. Especailly during Maradonna he was singing verses at wrong times and repeating some of the same ones, but everyone just laughed it off and had a good time

you beat me to it. This show was sick. I wasn't sure if that was an encore or not, but apparently it was. Demo 8 sounded grade imo.

P.S. were you the one wearing the absolutepunk t-shirt?

that did suck, it was such an awkward set with no one paying attention, but Cotton Crush was great.
But it was still the best show ever.

The show was absolutely fantastic. I was right up front (after getting a sweet sunburn from waiting in line)

Kevin Devine sounded AMAZING as usual, and Brand New were dead on. It was hard being in the front with no barricade, and holding myself up/holding people back with a sprained ankle was hard, but I honestly can't complain about the pain I was in because it was such a good show and the crowd was so intense.

Also, they soundchecked with Demo 3 and Demo 5. Don't know if anyone else heard it from inside, but they sounded great.

I was probably right near you, i think we were the third in line, and ended up right in the front row..and on stage.
Kevin played an awesome show, i think the people around me were really into him, I wish I had given him a listen beforehand. I bought the CD, it's the only thing I've been listening to since.

How awesome was it that we got to hear Crack The Sky twice?

I was wearing a Sleeping shirt that said "if your heart was broken" and on the back it said "you would be dead"

I still can't get over how intense it was. At some point, there was a guy with both his feet up on stage, leaning back, and could still stand straight up because of the force of the crowd

Haha..yes, I was right near you. We actually talked for a little, about where the hell spikes was, they make a mean chicken sandwhich. How amazing was it, despite the crazy crowd? I was trying to keep balance, I just had to jump on stage because I couldn't keep myself standing up.

I was the somewhat larger kid next to you guys, with the tiny girl, I felt bad because I crushed her so many times.

Amazing setlist. So glad they're including Play Crack the Sky and Me Vs. Maradonna as neither were on the '03 show I saw.

was demo 3 still acoustic-based or electric/full band?

Becca

Demo 3 was indeed electric. Sounded good.

If anyone has pictures/videos of this show, you should post the link. That would be fantastic. Tomorrow will rule at Johns Hopkins. I can't wait.

Man, I just had so much fun at this show. Jesse's vocals were the best I have EVER heard. It really was a special experience. It was awkward at the end because they did not really play an encore, but overall it was still amazing. I wish they played a few more songs off of YFW, but I really can't complain. Brand New ruled so hard, and I was impressed with Kevin Devine. I only heard his songs on myspace, so I really was not familiar with them. But it was too bad people were talking during his set. I was impressed with him and gave him my full attention because he was up there giving it his all.

P.S. It was so cool when he messed up the lyrics to a song and then totally saved it with quick thinking.

I don't know about demo3 being full band, i totally dig it acoustic. i'm guessing it still sounded really good, but which did you prefer? did you happen be the chick that was like right next to the monitor center stage because i definatley got completely up on stage for 70x7 and pretty much kicked some girls ass by accident from being pushed so damn hard.

fucking sweetest show of my life

Becca

Personally, I wasn't sure how I felt about demo 3 when they started soundchecking as a full band, but once i heard more of it, I enjoyed it a whole lot more than the acoustic version. It sounded incredibly tight.

I was indeed right next to the monitor center stage, but if you kicked my ass during seventy times 7 I didn't feel it, because i was pretty much getting my ass kicked for the rest of the show, as well. I didn't mind it at all though. So no hard feelings ;-)
