So he got his 1000th win last night as a Manager..and the Nationals gave him a gift..a Putter. No, not Golf Clubs..just a putter. He actually made a comment saying "Maybe when I get my next 1000 wins they'll give me the whole set."

If I were him..I'd be insulted. 1000 wins, and he gets a putter?

Still, they could have given him a cake or something I dunno..a putter is retarded. Haha. You can eat a whole cake by yourself, you need other clubs to complete your golf game.

Last year in Indiana, after Reggie Miller's last game, the Pacers organization gave him a Bentley if I remember correctly.

maybe if they sold more than 40 tickets a game they could afford the whole set

haha, good joke.

Why a putter? Is he really into golf? An award of some sort seems more appropriate.

not all are with the same organization, so that's not like he brought all 1000 to the Nats. Shitty gift? totally. was there even a need for a gift? not really.

maybe there is an inside joke to it that we dont know about. there has to be some significance to a putter

they were only 8th in attendance in the NL last year. They aren't exactly Michigan football.

well either attendance was pretty low at the nationals game i watched this season or their stadium hold 1.8 million people.
