Seems like a thread would be worthy for this notable dubstep (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubstep) producer. Been listening to his second studio album, Untrue, for the past few days.

I only own Untrue, and I enjoy it.

Untrue is a fantastic album, but I don't think it's one of those I can just whip out all the time and spin it. very moody record

I've never listened to him before, but I like the users here that like Untrue, so I guess I should at least give that album a try.

Seems his self-titled is never given any recognition.

Only eight responses? Woof. His s/t and Untrue are on their own in terms originality and innovation.

Was looking to see if I had to make a thread for this just now. I really like the song Etched Headplate. Really great album.

Didn't know about him till like a couple weeks ago, since I couldn't go a few days on forums without seeing dubstep coming up somewhere, so I was like "I wonder what RateYourMusic has as the top dubstep album?" and 'Burial' was it. I listened to a couple songs and was like "this isn't bad actually...", and then last night I randomly DLed the album to give it a legitimate go. Not completely my thing but it's pretty good.

Any thoughts on the new stuff?

Just came across this guy. After listening to Untrue I am wondering how 'dubstep' got to be so bad and trendy. I'm sure there is an explanation, but I'm new to the genre.

i'm not a dubstep expert at all, but seems to me that basically what happened was the genre got americanised (though not exclusively, since rusko for example is british) and the sound was just made much more aggressive and distorted. went from filling small london clubs to huge venues everywhere

I guess I just don't see the connection between this / other dubstep/house/garage acts and all that wa wa wa wa *electronic breakdown* garbage. I really liked the song you just posted, also.

i told this girl i worked with over the summer that i liked burial, and she said that it was "entry level techno." she then told me about this dj in detroit who was bringing things "back to basics." apparently, he has a big dick. this is what she told me - not burial, but the detroit dj

i like burial.

Sometimes I miss the days when things you said on here made sense.

Apparently I am not the people, but I did catch that last part about you liking the music.
