the bands first EP came out in 1999....i think it's fair to say that you wouldn't classify them as a "90s band"....especially since its noticable that the other bands of this list are clearly in the 92 and beyond range.

what do the cardigans sound like (none lovefool)? its kinda hard to pin point an exact style cuz each album has alil different style. Gran turismo is a electric/pop vibe where as super extra gravity has a alternative rock style.check out their myspace or last.fm page an see what cha think.

No Doubt, Bjork, and Alanis are a three way tie for me.
I went with No Doubt in the end though, because I miss real ska so much, and "It's My Life" was my mantra as a teenager.
