It doesn't make sense for this poll to be on here - I mean, this community is AbsolutePUNK.net, not Absolute Mediocre Garage Rock.net.

Okay, that was pretty harsh. I should give the Libertines more credit, they were a good band and a big influence on some britrock bands before drugs tore the band apart.

But to me this is a no brainer.

By the way, I'll fucking say it. Daisy straight up OWNS. It took me quite a few listens before I came around, but this whole combination of alt-country, post-rock and brutal post-hardcore is both extremely interesting and innovative to me. So far, my favorite album this year.

And while I'm sure some asshole will come along and tell me how overrated BN is. That's cool dude, but I will continue to be excited that Brand New has reinvented themselves again, and it is just as challenging and hard to digest as the last album.

Don't blame you. I am completely biased, but I have a pretty wide musical palette. So I'm not really worried about it.

I actually just read music news on this site for at least 6 months, and probably more than a year before I ever decided to comment. There's something weird about an internet/message board existence. I'm not totally with it - it just doesn't feel right sometimes. For example, I love going to shows but I've never succeeded in going to a show with someone from this site. It's like an alternate existence because I never have any real interaction with these people.

The point being, my username was actually more a commentary about people not knowing I am - but absolutely, it's one of my favorite songs. It felt like a fitting combination.

I'm too tired to get into an argument, just thought I'd address this.
