Below is a large update from Lucky Boys Confusion (http://www.absolutepunk.net/luckyboysconfusion) regarding their new EP and upcoming plans:
Lots of exciting news from Lucky Boys Confusion... Can you guys believe it's going to be 9 years in June!!! I can still (hazily) remember the first time Adam and I got together to write "Back Then."

We are going to release our first record of brand new material on June 20th! We're going to put out an EP called "How To Get Out Alive" on our own Townstyle Records label with help from our friends at Reincarnate (Sony/BMG). The EP will feature four brand new LBC tunes plus one very special cover that you have been hearing us play live... Yeah, you know what song we're talking about. We'll announce the tracklisting soon, but in the meantime, check back on Monday, May 1st and we'll have "The Struggle (Getting Out Alive)" posted up on myspace for all of you to check out! This EP will be available in stores and online!

To celebrate the release of the EP we're going to do something really special in Chicago. We're going to play some shows. Yeah, we know, we play Chicago frequently, right? But this time we mean SPECIAL! We're going to play Beat Kitchen. Yes, you heard us right - BEAT KITCHEN - Four Nights!

Here's some basics:

6/20: 6:30 PM (all ages): EP RELEASE SHOW!!

6/21: 6:30 PM (all ages): LBC NAKED!! DOING IT ACOUSTIC (BE HERE, THERE
WILL BE A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT SOON, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!)

6/22: 8:00 PM (21+): OLD SCHOOL SET FOR THE OLD FOLK

6/23: 5:30 PM (all ages): OLD SCHOOL SET FOR THE YOUNGENS!! AND MORE
IMPORTANTLY ADAM'S 17TH BIRTHDAY!!!

Yes, you heard that right!! Two old school nights!! Where we are going to play most of the old songs off of "Growing Out Of It" and "Soapbox Spectacle" that we rarely if ever play at our normal shows!! You will want to be a part of the acoustic night if you want to be a part of history!! There will be an EP release party that we will be announcing soon as well!! Yes, it will be 21 plus sorry youngens, we still love you!!

Tickets are ONLY $15 and we offering our most loyal fans (that means YOU) a chance to grab these tickets first through www.luckyboys.com on Monday, April 24th at 3pm CST.

Again, Monday, April 24th at 3pm CST.

Tickets will then go on sale to the public on Saturday April 29th and we'll have more information on times next week.

Their new stuff blows, but that doesn't make their old stuff suck.

Maybe if I'm in town I'll check out one of those old school shows. But even if I am in town it's still a big maybe...
