It's what happened up here also.
It's what happened up here also.
It's so lame. TBS/Anberlin were some of the only bands I wanted to see and I just didn't think it was worth $70 plus being surrounded by a bunch of old drunk people and having to sit through a bunch of shitty radio rock bands.

I'm going to the VA date, but I'm not too happy about the venue choice. =/ Oh well. And since it's a co-headliner, is TBS or AAR going to play last? I'm kind of hoping AAR will play last and I'll leave after TBS, but I might stay just in case AAR plays The Last Song...do they still play that live?

The Naval Academy??? Of all Rock bands out right now, the Mids chose All American Rejects as the band they want to see this year??
Nothing against AAR, I'm a fan, but I wasn't expecting that AT ALL.

Biloxi! So weird they're playing at the IP though. I'll be there or at the Orlando date.
From TBS' Myspace: We will be touring this Oct/Nov/Dec in a town near you. Dates in Oct with Anberlin, fun. and Gavin Castleton and we meet up with The All-American Rejects with Anberlin starting November 3.

That could potentially be a huge let down if you don't check out the set list before hand. Or they could play it last/towards the end of the set and that's a lot of terrible music to sit through for one song hahaha

No Omaha, or even a Denver date. There is no reason to skip this area, there should be one or the other. Not that I'd drive to Denver and take up a whole day doing it, but they shouldn't just skip this whole area.

What? True Faith is legit. It's a nice change of pace from their other stuff. But it'll probably be The Resistance, Disappear, Breaking, Paperthin, A Day Late, Whisper, True Faith, Dismantle, Godspeed and FGD. Pretty much the same set they played in June with TBS. 10 songs is a lot of a support slot but since it's co headlining and they're the only support announced so far I could see it happening.
What I think they're going to play and what I want them to play are 2 totally lists but whatever.

Ah, yeah. I figured since they were support they wouldn't play as much but I didn't really think about that. I guess I don't really like True Faith just because it's a cover and I'd really rather them play something else, it's not necessarily that I don't like that song.

I find it hard to believe that AAR/TBS/Anberlin tour would sell out before a Paramore tour, especially since Paramore has been on sale for longer. Something sounds odd here.

11/14 Alumni Hall- USNA, Annapolis, MD
12/5 House of Blues, Lake Buena Vista, FL
12/6 Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater, Miami Beach, FL
are no longer listed on Anberlin's website/myspace
11/17 Millersville University, Millersville, PA
11/18 The Norva, Norfolk, VA
11/29 The Palladium Ballroom, Dallas, TX
11/30 House of Blues, Houston, TX
have been added to their website/myspace
I'm bummed out about the Annapolis date getting cut, I was looking forward to catching Anberlin twice this fall. I'm pretty sure The Norva show has been announced for awhile. I'm considering going to The Norva show but not sure if it's worth the drive (3.5 hours) to see Anberlin play 30-45 minutes.

The other night I decided that I would go to this because I really wanted to see Anberlin and now they're out of the last two final dates. I think it is due to the HORRIBLE radio shows that are going on that weekend. I hate the radio stations sometimes. I guess I won't go now. I would much rather go to the Lightning game that night. I haven't seen TBS with the new line up since the MSG show with MCR. I have had tickets to the past 2 tours and haven't gone. I'm scared of change haha.

They let students get 2 usually for the reason of them bringing a guest (which I did) so they won't be ID-ing at the door. You should've had a friend get it for you

Give AAR a break, they have some pretty solid singles, and they are solid live, just go in with an open mind and you might enjoy yourself

I feel and it looks like they are the headliners on the 11th, even the tickets says TAKING BACK SUNDAY and american rejects in lowercase...and if u look on the website for the 10th its all about AAR and the 11th is a write up about TBS.
i felt the same way as to the high ticket prices, but i got mine on one of those 2 for 1 livenation wednesdays, so i got two tickets for only $42, not bad.

Caught the show tonight at the House Of Blues AC...Great show!
Anberlin went on first, played for about 25 minutes, tight set. AAR went up next complete with a shirtless Tyson for the entire performance. TBS closed and owned the place....Whatever they were going to end the main set with they changed to "Timberwolves @ NJ" by crowd request, then they didn't go off for an encore and just ended with MakeDamnSure...surprised they played more from Tell All Your Friends than they did from New Again, but hey, I'll take it!

Well, I've been a fan of TBS for like, seven years now, and I just saw them for the first time in June and they played Timberwolves then. Ha good luck with The Blue Channel, that would be epic. I may or may not have heard it live before, not sure. Definitely not since I started keeping track of the setlists from shows...so if I did see it live it would have had to have been at some point in 2004 or earlier...but I can't be sure unless I could find some earlier setlists of theres like the headlining Skate And Surf 04 setlist. The only songs from the first two albums I never heard before was Head Club and probably I Am Fred Astaire (which I possibly heard also at one of the 04 shows or earlier, but doubtful since they have only ever played it a handful of times. And the only song from Louder Now I've never heard live is I'll Let You Live, but thats ok since that song pretty much sucks.

Anberlin was definitely the highlight of the evening IMHO, despite a much too short set. AAR's lead singer is SUCH a douche, pretty sure he was high as a kite the entire time. He was saying some pretty funny & ridiculous stuff but his general attitude was apathetic and he seemed so disenchanted and unhappy to be on stage. TBS came out and rocked the close, they played a solid set and despite having a guitarist with a broken foot and a singer who is apparently losing his voice they still managed to hit it hard.</review>

The Norva show was so incredible tonight!
Anberlin was amazing as always. I am so glad they played both A Day Late and Dismantle.Repair. They really need to do a headlining tour soon because 7 or 8 song sets is not nearly enough!
All American Rejects were very questionable. Tyson is quite possible one of the most horrible stage performers I have ever seen. However, it was very entertaining to see them live. I was either laughing at Tyson's ridiculousness or I was thoroughly enjoying them. Most of the singles were actually played very well and I enjoyed them. Overall, I was surprised that I actually had a great time during their set.
Taking Back Sunday killed it like always. Tonight was definitely the best show I have ever seen them play. Afterwards, I got to meet almost every member. I waited around until 1:00 to see Adam as he was coming back from the bar. He was so drunk! He was truly a genuine and nice guy and I am so glad I finally got to meet him.
Tonight was absolutely fantastic!!

Oh maybe I got a little confused then. I thought I remembered them playing it but I guess not. It was a crazy and very eventful night so I may have forgotten some things. I am still really glad they played A Day Late. Agreed that it was too short though.
And I don't know when they were out meeting people because I was on the barricade the whole time. I saw the drummer outside after the show was over, but other than that I have no idea.

The show at the NorVA was amazing. We got to met Tyson and Matt from AAR while we were in line, I swear Tyson is on something, and something strong. My boyfriend says he thinks its X but who knows. I was so glad we got TBS to play Timberwolves, I was right in front of Eddie and I screamed it about 5 times and he looked at me then at Adam and said alright, Timberwolves. I freaked out over that, it's been 3 years since I've heard that song, it was amazing. And opening with Cute Without the E, didn't expect that. Anberlin's set was amazing as always, I was so glad they played A Day Late, that has been my favorite song of theres for as long as I've listened to them. And when Matt from AAR jumped in the crowed, yeah, he almost stepped on mine and my boyfriends hands, it was hilarious. I think they put an amazing show on dispite Tyson's craziness. Plus they played Paper Heart, so that was awesome. Overall, amazing night.

The show tonight in Boone was great. It was Eddie from TBS's birthday so all the bands came out on stage and sang happy birthday to him.
Anberlin was on point tonight. I had never seen them before and wish they had played longer than 30 minutes.

pretty much everyone around me took one look at Tyson and left. hahah
If anyone cares Tyson Ritter was ironically (i assume?) wearing a silk deep v neck red shirt and red bottoms. It was for an aids charity that part of the proceeds of ticket sales were going towards
everyones reaction was either "wtf" or "SQUEE SHOW US YOUR NIPPLES"

I went to the shows in OKC and Tulsa and AAR closed both nights...but that could be because they are from oklahoma.
either way...TBS blew the roof off both venues nights. A lot of people have hated on them for a while now on this forum but i think TBS is beginning to prove themselves. I'm always weary of how adam will sound but out of the 7 times i've seen them, he was at possibly his best in Tulsa the other night. ever since fazzi joined they have gotten better exponentially in my eyes.
the setlists (for TBS anyways) were the same as the most recent one, except for in Tulsa they played Everything Must Go (by request) instead of My Blue Heaven
AAR....was Tyson as per usual. Shirtless with glitter both nights....and sexualizing all of the 12 year old girls in the audience. it's a shame they are actually good live. they aren't the same band they were when i used to watch them play before doghouse bought their first cd.
and Anberlin was about the same as the last couple times they opened for TBS...general spot on and a good warm up for the crowd

AAR closed tonight in Dallas.
Anberlin was pretty good. First time seeing them. I just wish they would've played more off Cities, but maybe they will when they headline.
TBS exceed my expectations. I'm not the biggest TBS fan, but I enjoyed them a lot. I liked that they played a mix of their CDs instead of solely playing new stuff.
AAR is AAR to me. I enjoy them and I always have. The lights they have were so distracting to me, I had to get out of the crowd. Tyson seemed to be coked up as usual, but I guess that's how he is nowadays.
Overall, it was a good show, good crowd.
Maybe it was just me, but I was disappointed with TBS tonight in Dallas. The musicianship was tight, but Adam's vocals were just lazy. The whole swinging the mic thing is cool but when you can't properly sing, it's a problem. Also, their set wasn't as long as other sets I've seen in this thread. Maybe that's because they weren't headlining?

Maybe it was just me, but I was disappointed with TBS tonight in Dallas. The musicianship was tight, but Adam's vocals were just lazy. The whole swinging the mic thing is cool but when you can't properly sing, it's a problem. Also, their set wasn't as long as other sets I've seen in this thread. Maybe that's because they weren't headlining?

I really liked their set. I'm a HUGE AAR fan and I think TBS did so much better than them. TBS made it more about the crowd/the music and I felt like AAR was more about the lights and Tyson being coked out.

That's true. I guess because I'd never seen TBS before and that I'd been waiting for so long to see them, I expected too much.

This was my first time seeing TBS in 3 years, last time I saw them was at Nokia, so I guess from that aspect I felt like this show was so much better. I honestly wish they had closed, as did my friend. I do agree with you that Adam didn't seem on point at times, but he still was SO much better than Tyson.

I wish they had closed too. I also agree about Adam; he was definitely a lot better than Tyson. I wonder what his mom thinks seeing her son act like that.

This was my 4th time this year seeing AAR and this is probably the worst I've seen him. I miss AAR circa 2006 when Tyson didn't act coked out/covered in glitter. Don't get me wrong, I kinda enjoy seeing him in the glitter, but I feel like their show is now more about him and how he acts than the music. TBS and Anberlin both felt so much more about the music. Their sets I felt were more simple per say than AAR with all the lights, which at times made me want to be sick.

I live in Tallahassee, Its basically in the middle pensicola, jax, tampa, and orlando. And decent shows rarely come here. But i guess my 3-4 hour drive for shows probably might be better then your situation, but going from orlando to this sucks.......
hows your show situation look like

Seeing them Dec. 2nd, if my counting was correct, then TBS is headlining. I'm kinda disappointed to see Timberwolves @ NJ no longer on the setlist, but oh well:-(

I agree, I'm not really a fan of AAR, but they were focused a little too much on the lighting and Tyson's antics. This tour circa 2003 would have been awesome, but whatever, it was still good.

I'm still wondering what they're doing about the Miami date.As far as I know they haven't gotten anyone to fill in for Anberlin.I'm hoping for extended sets and that they don't just cut the show short.

The show tonight was sick! TBS and Anberlin rocked and AAR was, well everything was good expect for Tyson. God that was weird. I was really surprised to not hear Gives You Hell by AAR. At the end of the set Tyson was like, I know everyone thinks there gonna hear that song that's been on the radio, but we're not gonna play that so you can go sit on your sad stool. We're gonna play a song that's never been on the radio, then they played the Last Song and that closed their set.
Anyway, I managed to get a pretty decent Timberwolves chant going, and Adam heard it and they played it which was rad. Also, I put this setlist into Setlist.fm, I'm not sure if its correct though, as I did it off the top of my head. But I think I got all the songs, just not sure about the order.

Highlights from last nights show: AAR played Top of the World and Breakin', for the first time.Tyson did Mona Lisa acoustic while walking through the crowd. He got drunk on stage, and later came out dressed as a mime during TBS.
TBS played Swing and Miami. No Timberwolves but still a sick performance.
