We're looking for some good Alt-country stuff to check out. Anyone have any good recommendations?

limbeck.
in my opinion they define alt-country.

also iron and wine seems to have a country feel to it.

the new forecast has a bit of alt-country to it....the only children is pretty solid alt-country...but limbeck is the best without a doubt

I'm not sure whether this would fit under alt-country or not, but check out Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers.

early against me! really has a good old folk sound to it.
a more acoustic mellowed out would ahve to be something along the lines of the format though.
