unrelated but I just got back from the STD and DTEA show, and DTEA played a new song from the upcoming album (he said it would come out this fall) and one of the acoustic ep songs with a full band and both sounded awesome. they just shot into my top 5 if not top 3 anticipated albums of this year.

that was an exceelent show. i was surprised at how few people there were, but then again it was right after a hail storm and in a gym half an hour from austin. tons of fun, as always.

wasn't that big of a fan of catalyst, but i'm sure i will give their new album a listen. i talked to James last night at the reggie show and he said that he wrote four songs for nfg while he was playing with them and then after he left to do reggie full time they decided to use them on the album.

i think unfortunately that nfg and std, and possibly tbs, are past their prime. but i hope nfg can record something better than their last album. it shouldn't be too hard...

they were alright. never heard em before, but they had some energy.
and i agree about "nothing gold can stay", i don't know why everyone keeps bringing up "sticks and stones", "nothing gold.." and the self-titled are where it's at.
