I just watched it again last night. It's probably the most poetic film I've ever seen.

It's about a guy and a girl that wereseeing each other but then she joined the intergalactic space force and left earth to fight against the martians that invaded. The only way they can communicate is through text messages on their mobiles but the farther she gets away from earth, the longer it takes for him to receive them. First a month, than a half a year, then finally 8.7 years. They learn that thoughts can transcend time and space. The movie's only 25 minutes long actually. What's most impressive is the same guy produced and animated the entire film himself.

I'm gonna check this out, even though that makes it sound really lame. The rest sounds excellent.

yeah. I plan on buying the collection with Voices and The Place Promised in our Early Days. It was about 34 bucks at Best Buy...not that bad.

No. Although now that I think of it it kinda starts out the same. They both contain scenes of the girl standing in an empty classroom. "Places" is basically about a group of friends, one girl, two guys. One day the girl dissappears and the two guys drift apart as well. There's a huge tower seperating the two parts of the country and they promised her that they would take her to the tower one day. Well turns out she's been in a coma since the day she departed them and one of the guys when he finds out trys to take her to the tower to wake her comatosed body. I personally enjoyed Voices more but Places grows on you.
