just because it hasn't been posted yet to my knowledge...they are my favorite slower/melodic band.
And, they are the band I'm using to try and get my girlfriend to transition from the BSB to pop-punk bands

hahashe tried to make me watch the BSB DVD the other day...I must have given her the look to end all looks, because she just put the DVD back on the shelf and said "what would you like to watch?"
It's bad enough I have to listen to their CD's from time to time

she loves the Fray, which gives me some hope, and the video for Different by acceptance was on MTVU the other day, and she liked that song...so I have a list of like 6-7 bands I'm giving to here, TDAA as the main one, then Acceptance, Mae, Waking Ashland, This Providence (thanks to the thread earlier), and American Football.
I've already decided if she doesn't like American Football I will probably have to end the relationship, because it will speak greatly to her decision making

I dunno about AF. They're the best band on that list of his, by far, but they aren't poppy or anything.

yeah, I like their albums...I'm not sure I can put a good comparsion to them though.
Pretty good melody, they are more on the pop fence with their lyrics, but they make decent music

If she can listen to Never Meant and not fall in love with it, I'll be suprised
I just keep getting this hilarious image of her rocking out to like Thursday...it would be such a hilarious shift from BSB cd's

If she digs slow music, I can't see a reason why she wouldn't enjoy them. My thinking was that you're starting her off with pop-oriented stuff (Mae, Acceptance, TDAA, etc) so she might not be keen on something like American Football right away. Not to rag on Mae, or Acceptance because I love both bands, but AF are on a different level musically than either of them.

Haha, no. That would be weird.
She was friends with my best friend, and I drove them in my car, and I randomly played Phantoms.
She then said that Acceptance was her favorite band, and they were also mine. I got to know her better, and then I asked her out a week later.

All relationships should be based on this question.

maybe she would like Your Own disaster by TBS or Soco Amaretto Lime. Say it Like you Mean it would be good too (Cheek to Cheek).

I can't get my girlfriend into anything I listen to. the only band she can remember I listen to is Fall Out Boy, because she says she's seen them on tv. I tried to get her to listen to Deja one night and she hated it. lol

yeah, I saw them between Dropping Daylight and Mae on the one tour, and they were pretty good. Nothing spectacular that I remember, especially squashed between those two, and I think Mute Math was on that thour as well, but still pretty good
