Such a great band. Absolutely love them to death. One of the few albums I've been listening to for 5+ years and still am not bored with.

Miss them dearly. The ending of "Death to Traitors" is one of the most serene progressions of sound I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. Love those drums...

I uncontrollably get the shivers every time I hear/see the breakdown at about 3:55 into the video. All those kids jumping off stage.. RIDICULOUS!

I'm not a huge Advent fan and I only liked a handful of Josh Moore's solo stuff, but, eh. too bad this isn't a reunion tour thread, or else I'd nominate Beloved and Recover on the same bill. that'd be amazing.

Failure On is still an incredible album, and Beloved is one of the few bands from the genre I still listen to regularly. From what I've heard, they're all still friends and have kept the possibility of playing together again open, but I haven't heard anything recently.

I love this band.

AND last week I got the 'bargain of the week' - I bought their final show DVD (Kiss It Goodbye) for £2.25. Which is about $3? No postage fee. Excellent. Amazing DVD too. I don't usually like live DVDs. Beloved were also the first band I saw live in the UK. They played with Dead Poetic back in 2004 when I was just getting into decent music.

Josh's voice is overwhelmingly great.

I have no issue with the guys, they're nice enough, I just can't stand the music.

If there were one band I could choose to reunite, it would be Beloved.

Failure On was a solid release, but honestly, I prefer The Running EP. "Death to Traitors" is a classic, though.

I'd love to see a reunion, especially after listening to the new Advent album, Naked and Cold; Joe's vocals sound so sick on there. Looking at the directions all the members went in after Beloved broke up, it'd be interesting to see what it'd sound like to have those musicians come back together.

I'd love this to happen. Surely one day?
I wonder if they all see each other still? Or at least communicate.

Glad to see a Lovelite picture!

And I really like 'Death to Traitors'. Think my favourite track is 'Insult to Injury'. Just love the outro bit.

Me and my friends used to jam to Failure On My Lips and Death to Traitors all the time in our garages, so much fun, and such a fucking awesome band.

Yeah, for sure man. Love me some Lovelite! I heard of them through a recommendation from The Glorious Unseen, so I decided to check them out, and I literally haven't stopped listening. I reviewed All Color here on AP, but it won't post 'til next week.

All of the songs from Failure On are incredible. "Insult to Injury" is surely up there for me. I just miss them is all.

"Only Our Faces Hide" has some of the best lyrics, for sure.

I doubt it will happen. I would love to see it, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm not sure... I'd imagine most of them keep in touch, after being so close for so long.

I vaguely remember hearing that their breakup was due to them not being on great terms, something with one of the guitarists who was in Dead Poetic I believe.

People should check out the full-length by the band called Of Military and Mathematics. They sound very similiar. Both are excellent. Wish both were still together. This is one of their slower songs..

I used to have a red shirt from them that said "If we live on in the hearts we leave behind, we will never die". But I dropped 3 shirt sizes and now I don't wear it anymore.

I read that it was because Joe was getting married and wanted to settle down for a few years. And because he brought such a distinctive sound (through vocals and drumming) they decided to call it a day. I think then Dusty went to play for Dead Poetic. He now plays with The Almost. Josh has his solo work (after playing guitar for The Classic Case). Joe has Advent and has recently started drumming for The Almost. Not sure about anyone else. And this information might be incorrect... I'm trying to recall from memory!

Joe really did carry that band, such a good sound.

I do like Josh's voice too. They went well with the music. And I loved the way he danced.
But yes, Joe was an essential part to the equation.

Beloved is one of the bands that taught me to like heavy music. I have listened to this album perhaps more than most I own. It's almost a national tragedy that we got only one LP from these dudes.

I haven't really checked out Advent. I've heard some good things, but I remember listening when they first posted demos... and it was just a lot of drop A chugging, nothing creative. We'll see.

Matt Harrison and Johnny smrdel who were in beloved are now in advent too.
